Re: Stupid preflop decision vs DeathDonkey

I think the decision is so close that it merits metagame considerations. If the fish and DD notice that you're folding in the face of this kind of action, then you could be inviting the fish to play...

she plays much more abc live than online from my experience. i dont even think she would play QQ live this way. Either she has quads or KK in this hand.

Re: berry tenanbaum (spelling?) is coming out with a book?

[ QUOTE ]
I also a while back attended a talk he gave and was surprised with how weak-tight the advice was including things like you need the best hand or best draw to play on the flop. But he...

Re: AA 30-60 weird action

obviously, you're either way ahead or way behind here. One possible line is to just flat call the donker on the flop and see what the SB does. If he folds, then you can raise the turn if no club...

i would be shocked if any high stakes player folds a2s here.

Shocked? I'm pretty sure I'm not considered a nit and I easily muck A2s here. What are...

Re: atlantic city versus LA

[ QUOTE ]
I think Borgata is better because the people respect your raises. Last time at Commerce, I raised UTG with KK, and the friggin donkey to my left cold calls with A3 OFFSUIT! I won't even...

Re: atlantic city versus LA

There is no comparison. AC and East Coast players in general skew towards the weak-tighter side when compared to West coast players. Ironically, this holds true for fish and well as the solid pros. ...

Re: More value in checking?

I agree with your reasoning and I think value check/calling is a good line, but I can't help but bet here b/c you are apt to see so many times online HU that you will get called down with as little...

Re: Question for people that have played in a WSOP event

LOL DONKAMENTS

WSOP Events are a blend of reckless aggro players trying to quickly build a big stack (some more skilled than others at this), nitty rocks that will go as far as their cards take...

Re: Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun?

Right. But my point was to emphasize Foxwood's overall ineptness and monopoly on the poker scene in New England to the OP re his choice between AC and Foxwoods. Spring 2008 (assuming MS's poker room...

Re: Live 100-200 Boring Hand

It's either check behind on the river, or value bet with the intention of calling his c/r. Any other river line is total spew and -EV.

Re: possibly standard 1-2 hand @ bellagio

Checking the option prelop and then the flop raise is standard. If you raise the turn here(which is a good play IMO) you are trying for a river showdown with this hand (if you don't get 3 bet on the...
