Re: I\'m lost with mid sized pocket pairs !

Definitely raise flop. If we're ahead, there are lots of cards we don't want to see on future streets. If he 3-bets, he probably has either overcards + flush draw, overpair (and likely better than...

Re: 2NLHE: Straight Flush Draw on Turn Facing Big Bet!

Easy fold? Overbet into scary board, marginal draws, next hand.

Re: blind steal

Uh...bet the flop? I really don't see him calling you OOP w/AK, AQ, AJ. Checking behind = bad IMO. Also, it seems like you didn't have much of a plan after he called your 3-bet.

I'm guessing your school has a pretty sub-par/non-existent financial aid program, otherwise you wouldn't be posting this dilemma? Have you considered taking out any student loans to help pay for...

Your biggest hurdle will be getting the interviews, and explaining why you have no work experience. You better have a really good answer as to why and why it doesnt matter in your case.

Investment Banking?

Hey 2+2,

So I recently started considering finding a job as an investment banker as an alternative to Chem grad school for future plans after college. However, I haven't been too exposed to the...

Re: 25NL KK

Yeuch, I don't like it at all. The flop is so dry on this board that in this multiway pot, any competent player willing to continue or fire into the pot must have either a decent draw or a made hand....

NL 50 Ugh, is this bad?

2nd orbit at the table. Villians seem pretty loose + bad. Would shoving here be a spew or is it okay?

Is this a good board to Stop\'n\'Go?

Not sure if this is the best line to take. Villian seemed kinda weak. No substantial reads other than stats: 32/5/2.5 over 70 hands.

On a more serious note, flop is a very clear check/fold. Absolute worst possible case flop known to man for two black aces in a 4bet pot. The *worst*.

Re: 50nl - Total mess of an AA hand

Okay, well, you're getting exactly pot odds to call the CO, SB probably froze up due to the scary board, so I call here. No value in a raise since you're not worried about protecting your hand...

I decide to get tricky w/AA preflop and cry on the flop

Villian is 24/18/2.9 over 200 hands and has started 3-betting me light. No reason to think he'd start 4-betting me light either though. Didn't want to let AK/QQ/JJ off easy though so I didn't shove....

NL 100 Hero Goes into Station Mode Against LAG with History

Don't have exact stats on villian as PT is on my other computer, but I'd estimate he's about 60/25/3.5 and seems to be a level 3 thinker (i.e. thinks about what you think he might have), and from his...

Re: Bottom set (99 9AQ) in 3bet pot vs TAG

Any reasoning that you'd prefer c/raising the flop over bet/3-bet-shove or donking the flop and c/raising AI the turn?

Um, what hand besides QJ are we hoping to extract from after betting 3 streets?

Re: NL100. simply hand: value on river?

I think checking behind here is fine. Villian either holds a 5 or a Q, or less likely a PP like 88+ since he might re-pop you here (depending on your ASB since MP = CO 5-handed right?). If he's...

Re: NL100 Is this bluff simply retarded ??

Yeah this is kind of silly I think. If your villian is a thinking opponent, then no way he's going to be putting you on a made straight here. In my opinion, the only way he'll put you on a made flush...
