What to do with a player behind?

In this hand, both opponents are pretty bad, getting allin too easily and calling with rather mediocre hands both pre and post flop. Calling the first allin would be very standard had there only been...

Optimum bluffing strategy situations in NLHE

In Theory Of Poker, Sklansky presents the optimum bluffing frequency, which simply implies that the pot odds you give your opponent are the same as the odds against your bluffing.

This makes...

Re: AK when flop misses

Youīre getting about 3.3:1 on your call, so if UTG has hit a pair or better, itīs not a profitable call. Itīs pretty close though, and he might be bluffing, and you are about even money against an...

Best rake for microstakes?

Probably been asked before, maybe I could be redirected then.

Which sites have the lowest rake for games $25 and lower, and how much is the rake/cap?

Re: KK and checkraised on drawheavy flop...

Since villainīs aggressive, you could consider a limp/reraise preflop, it doesnīt have to be a big raise, just to make it easy to commit if you flop an overpair.

Re: u flop a trips, opponent min bets. what now

[ QUOTE ]
It's a lose/lose situation every time, if you bet you obv have trips, if you call they obv draw out on you. Thus is poker.

[/ QUOTE ]
Thatīs the thing, since the board is drawless the...

Re: u flop a trips, opponent min bets. what now

A flop of 99x is as free of draws as it gets, and you should not be afraid to give away a cheap turn card with the pot being this small. Your hand becomes rather transparent, though, if you just call...

Re: How to maximize EV when you get the odds to draw....

I agree with Jouster that a call is best here. You are getting great odds to draw to the flush, about 6.5:1 if you can count on CO calling the raise, otherwise 5.5:1.

If you push you will probably...

Re: Deepest \"possible\" stacks

[ QUOTE ]
If AA is out versus AA then all the money will probably go in preflop... Here, the bigger stacks doesn't change the EV but it changes the number of raises (and the variance)

Re: Overpair getting minraised

A minraise very often means a set or two pair, like JT in this case, at least thatīs what Iīve discovered at this level. Even if Villain is raising me here with AcKc, heīs actually a 55/45 favoriteon...

Re: Fold trip K?

[ QUOTE ]

There's no way you should be folding here. Your river check should have been done to induce a bluff (if you're not betting), and when you got your bluff you should have called in a...

Re: QQ preflop. Is folding +EV?

You have no reads. Often, Villain has a hand lika QQ+ here. If, however, heīs 3betting light, youīre sure to find out after a number of hands, so, pick your spots. And, folding always has 0 EV

Re: Deepest \"possible\" stacks

With any stacks less than infinite according to game theory you can always get all-in. Even with 1,000,000 BB stacks, you should eventually get all-in. For example say you have 83o on a...

Re: Deepest \"possible\" stacks

Yes, the thing is, that with ridiculously big stacks, say
100,000BB, how can anyone ever be allin without the nuts? There must be some point where that happens?

Deepest \"possible\" stacks

Just out of curiosity, where do you think the theoretical treshold for stack size in terms of BB is in a NLHE game, so that all the chips are virtually never going into the middle? Of course there...
