Re: check raise turn bluff line against reg

The range you're representing looks really narrow.

Re: NL100 - AJ hand

I also think a 2 is pretty unlikely. After my previous reply I was thinking I should have added some slowplayed big pairs in there as well, which makes an even better case for a fold.

I just don't...

Re: NL100 - AJ hand

Flop call:

Hard to put him on 2x.
Easy to put him on a lot of pocket pairs.
Somewhat easy to put him on JT/QJ/KJ.

This is a spot where I often check the turn because I think you fold out a...

Re: line check, KK Deepstacked vs TAG

Villain doesn't necessarily have a lot here 4-betting. I play the post-flop pretty much the same way, but pre-flop seems like the worst option. Either 5-bet a bigger amount or just call, and I prefer...

Re: Do we stack off to boats here? (NL50)

It seems pretty weird to donk this turn. It seems like if you're not comfortable 3-betting the flop, you shouldn't be donking the turn because that card either means nothing or you're now dead or at...

Re: Official \"it\'s not too early to start talking about Fantasy Footba

I have an interesting keeper dillemma. Assume standard ESPN scoring with 2 RB slots max.

Do you take LJ and Carson Palmer or LJ and Travis Henry. My default answer is obviously LJ and Travis Henry...

Re: 100NL hand reading hand

Weird board for that raise.

Looks a lot like he had 33/66, slowplayed the flop, and didn't want to scare you away with a turn bet, then he figures the 2 couldn't help you so he's raising for...

Re: 100NL: 54s: this one felt dirty.

3-betting an UTG raiser light OOP with plenty of limpers who may look you up? No way.

Re: $100NL FT; AK squeeze, tptk

I don't like the raise OOP against that UTG raise. You're building a big pot against a likely solid range OOP which makes almost any flop tough to play. And there's no reason to think UTG is shoving...

It looks like you're flipping a large amount of the time but it looks fine.

Re: 100NL - OESD on Turn after c-bet called on the Flop

It really depends on what I think he check/calls that flop with. If I know I can take it down on the turn most of the time, I would much prefer it. Most of the time I bet this, against certain...

Re: Stars 100NL; OOP with TT in 4bet pot on under card board.

If you fully expect to be 4-bet just call and see a flop. If you build a big pot pre that you're not willing to really play, you're just padding his stack.

Re: Stars 100NL; OOP with TT in 4bet pot on under card board.

I would make your re-pop larger. Probably like 18. That's a really weak raise for TT OOP.

I think you have to make your choice here. How often does he have overpairs that beat you vs otherwise? I...

Re: 3 betting light.

A5s is a bad hand to 3-bet with. Maybe sometimes you just call pre because you think you can outplay him, but a hand like A5s is just really tough to play.

Flop lead is standard, and just call his...

Re: Gross Spot (NL50)

Without reads, I probably call. It's not a fun spot but I think part of the problem is that when you're up against a shortstack , who looks like they just posted UTG as well, they'll do very erratic...

Re: Standard line? (NL50)

[ QUOTE ]
4betting and folding to a 5bet makes the hand much easier to play but i think it has much lower EV

Perfectly stated.

Re: Standard line? (NL50)

The small re-raise from the SB is usually pretty strong. I don't mind just calling the 3-bet and seeing a flop here.

If he has an underpair you're still getting pretty good value out of him (even...

Re: 100NL T9s against terrible LAG

Why not raise more on the flop?

Yeah, it looks like an easy shove.

Re: Stuck in a hole 100nl

I mean, I'm not sure what MP is limping and min re-raising with. I'd be inclined to really see that as strength and I don't mind playing a 3-way pot with AK. SB's call/call is most likely a pocket...

Re: NL100 - 4-handed AT vs 3-bet

Yeah, now that I think about it... if he had any hand that I beat he would likely check behind on the turn here as this is not a board to be 2-barreling and he would likely slowdown with a weaker A....
