Websites that host home game stats and info

I am planning on starting a monthly home game tournament, 2 tables of 10 each. In addition to the monthly prize fund, there will be points given to each player, based upon where each player finishes...

Re: Another overplayed AK...where do YOU get away?

I would have re-raised pre-flop for 2 reasons. One, to try to keep anyone else from joining the pot (which didn't turn out to be a problem in this case), and to see what his reaction would be. If...

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED

Glad to see that pushing wasn't a bad play. I pushed, seat 4 called. Seat 3 turned over K-Q offsuit, seat 4 had pocket 7's. I was glad my reads were on spot, but the flop came 4-4-2, turn was a 5,...

Re: Overcard flops to my PP, how much should I fear it?

I'd push pre-flop. Odds are you'll win it right then, and the pot would be approx 2100, which is somewhere around 23% of your starting chipstack. If someone calls you, they probably have overcards...

Re: Simple question

I'd probably fold this. Blinds are still low compared to your stack, and the odds of you having the best hand are slim. You're probably in a race or are dominated, imo.

A move which results in my being chip leader or busted

32 people in tourney, 4 cash. 10 remaining. I am at approx. 3600 chips, approx 5th or 6th place. Blinds at 200 & 400, but doubling in 2 minutes.

Fold to seat 3, goes all-in for 900.
Seat 4...

Reno Hilton tournies late Spet, early Oct.

Anyone from 2+2 planning on playing any of these? I'm going down there for a couple of smaller, $100 and $200 buy-in NL tournies the first weekend. How many players is the norm and how are the...

Tourney strategy question

I'll be playing in a NL tourney on Sept. 23 & 24 and would like to get your suggestions on a strategy. It's actually a MTT but plays like a single table-tourney.

Buy-in $100. Starting chips...

Re: Norm Chad Keep It Up

Norm is head-and-shoulders above the team of Vince & Mike. This ain't life and death, it's poker. Chad's does make me chuckle once in a while, but more importantly, he calls out the guys that are...

Re: Negreanu image\'s changing on HSP

I find DN's personality refreshing. Although I enjoy Matasow much more on HSP than on the WSOP segments, overall I find him annoying. At least DN seems to be having fun most of the time, and he...

Re: Limit simulation programs?

I've had Wilson's Turbo Texas HOld'em for approx 1 year and found it to be very helpful in many ways. I only started playing seriously around the time I got the software, and I beleive that it has...

Re: Ace-Little, How to play

A suited ace will get me into a pot, if I can do it cheaply. I agree with everyone else as far as Ax offsuit when x<9, dump it other than in special situations.

Re: Hooked on hooks

3-bet pre-flop to try to get a read on the strength of the other hands out there. The odds are that your J's are the best pre-flop.

Raise post-flop too. If you get re-raised, the J's probably...

Re: So wheres the best place to start building a bankroll?

Playing full-table low limit ($1/2 or .5/1)and being extremely tight will definitely make you money. It just gets boring mucking hand after hand. If you have the discipline, I highly suggest...

Limit game with only one blind...Any strategic changes ?

Our casino has only one game and it's $3/6 limit. Usually very loose and pretty easy to make a profit. For some reason, they have swithed to a "one blind system." This means only one $3 blind, no...

Re: Question on rebuy strategy

I believe that rebuys can be purchased at any time up to the one-hour break. I have seen two theories on rebuying.

#1) Rebuy immediately and use the extra chips to bully smaller stacks, or;

Re: Folded KK preflop for the 1st time ever online

I'd push. Big stack could be slightly loose being he has no worry of being eliminated.

Probably scenario: I push. He's got aces. I lose.

Re: Turbo or Normal SNGs

Better players want to play more hands. Larger tournies and structures that allow for more hands, will allow the cream to rise. I'm a bowler, a game in which luck plays a large factor, similar to...
