Re: Tricky spot with JJ in 3-bet pot. 50nl.

I hate these spots, I think a call is right with position, your gonna face AK around 50% here and he isnt allways gonna keep firing. The trickiest spot is when the turn bricks and he makes a really...

Re: AA question

this aint that dry, he might not be afraid of a /images/graemlins/heart.gif killing his hand but it can kill his action.

Re: 25NL: River trips and villain confuses me. Help on river?

Raise all in, all day every day, it could be suckbet but who cares, they are dangerous as hell with chips behind but with just 13 or so bucks left he's just tying himself to the pot if its a blocker...

Re: AA question

Yuk, I hate these spots, I shove just cos I cant fold to the min bet and I cant call and fold to a 14 into 26 on the turn so just get it in and avoid confusion. Just hope he has a habbit ov...

Re: River spot against loose passive

Yeah, I aggree with kolo, lead the river for a combination of value & blocking bet, around $10 or so.

Re: KQs against a maniac

I think the hand is played fine, but I cant see where its a trap.

I'd be tempted to raise the turn, or even lead / push depending on how nuts he is, even if your beat you have between 8 & 13...

Re: Two spots against two separate unknowns

hand 2 should be a fairly straight forward fold, lots of overpairs beat you and your kicker isnt great plus you will either get bluffed off the best hand or pay off a flush from time to time when a...

Re: QQ against very loose person

If he does maniac plays get it in, there is a big chance he's floating your cbet, an even bigger chance he is overvaluing a lower pair and a 20% chance when he truly has a hand that you fluke the 4th...

Re: 25NL - QJ from BB walking into toppair

check, dont allways fold though, if the bet is small it can be worth calling, its not like this pot is checked down, they must have had a something on the flop and pure overcards are likely to have...

Re: NL10 - bad play with jacks?

The flops tricky, I cant see any hand you beat calling but your pot commited if you raise, calling the flop and folding the turn might be best or if villain is aggro just call it all the way.

Re: Just an amusing hand

lol, whats amusing, his expert slowplay cost you $0.1 :P

My favourite hands to watch is where to people flop sets and go for a slowplay all the way only to see flush card land on the river and...

Re: NL50 - TTT on the 3Flush flop - Bad play

Shove flop.

I used to play these situations a bit scared, the majority of the time you are beat but a boat draw is actually a fairly powerfull hand, betting the turn is bad as it is so unlikely...

Re: CONTEST: Choose site name, let Isura coach you!

Submission: Piranaha.com

Interesting idea, I've recently been coaching a freind for free obviously but I got him to sign up via a affiliate link on my site and I'm quiet pleased with the revenue...

Re: 25NL pair+OESD

[ QUOTE ]
Spechel Edd, as attractive as smoothcalling seems, if we think 66-99 are possibly in his range here, doesn't that make a raise mandatory?

By the way, have you moved up? I haven't seen...

Re: right or wrong way to play set?

I'd probably go for the check raise all in on the turn instead of donking it. The flop play depends, if he pays off with pairs a lot I'd repop him as waiting till the turn actually reps a lot more...

Re: AKo heads-up with position

I quiet like it as played, raising the flop just folds out better hands, whats going to call that you beat, a crappy A may call but you wont get any more action on the turn and river so why rush,...

Re: QQ...PF reraised

call or raise, dont fold, with his stats I just call, your position gives you a lot of room later in the hand, between that and the set value you have a call, a looser player I might re-pop and it...

Re: NL50 AA did i played it ok?

raising more and folding to a push sucks bad with these stacks, there is 44 in the pot and 30 left to play, betting 15 and folding to a 15 raise, getting 6-1 with the top overpair is awefull, betting...

Re: NL $25 - Reraised from the BB, hate these spots

Call pre flop is fine, but only cos he's a lagtard, and its worth seeing how often he re-raises, some players are v. loose with the first raise but pretty solid afterwards. I dont like raising here,...

Re: NL50 AA did i played it ok?

I dont like the river blocking bet, its to small to block anything, your decisions are value bet or check-call, I dont really like the check call as there isnt enough missed draws to make a high...

Re: NL50 KK 3-bet pre flop, facing bet on the flop.

I quiet like the raise here, the thing is a raise can easily be a bluff, a call never can, its often easier to drop AT here if your opponent calls the flop and comes to life on the turn than it is to...

Re: 50NL: Is my A high still ahead often enough here to justify callin

I'd probably call this and feel sic doing it, your getting 4-1 and a villain with his stats doesnt have the flush that often, you have 6 dirty outs against a pair so can overtake, you dont have to be...

Re: 22, preflop, check

I think a preflop fold is awefull, its a min raise, your getting over 3-1 with a pot sized bet left to play, you can set mine this profitably as you will get it all in when you hit often.

The flop...

Yeah, I think c/r all in is damn sexy to

In the best of cases sb will have a smaller flsuh draw and button will fold, most of the time you will just gamble with one or the other with decent dead...

Re: Taking a shot at 100nl - was this really so bad?

Yup, been able to walk away is essential when taking a shot, if you have difficulty doing that then is best to stick to 20 buyins etc.
