Re: NL50: Interesting hand in position against UTG NIT

With the nit's range 88 is the only real possible holding with an 8 which is really improbable. It has to be AK or AQ given the way the hand played out and judging by the strength of his turn play...

Re: 50 NL, over cards and nut flush, what to do on turn v. 2 opp

With the BBs stack another bet is allin. I really don't like the risk reward all that much given that he'd probably look you up with a pair given his stats. That said, that flop plays into alot of...

Re: 50NL: Turned set with a 4 card straight on board

[ QUOTE ]
Card replacement suggest 56 unlikely so overpairs are a big part of both villians ranges. Hard to give much wieghting to bb or cut-off on a set given the action (does BB pfr and surely...

Re: Is this too nitty preflop - AQ?

I think it's a good fold. AQ plays terrible against a 3 bet not to mention the initial raiser is still left to act.

standard for me.

50NL: QQ post flop against a tight player.

Villian is 13.75/11.25 after 80 hands. At this point he was playing tighter, say 10 vp$ip after maybe 50 hands.

BB is new to the table and the CO is 19/6.5 after 90 hands.

Re: 50NL- top pair?

Good fold imo. This is a major leak to play a big pot in a situation like this.

Re: 50NL: KK gets tons of action on a 7 high board.

I stoved it with the following results, but I'm still a little fuzzy on equity calculations, do the pot odds make this a call?

50NL: KK gets tons of action on a 7 high board.

Dry board, I'm losing confidence with KK given the amount of action I'm getting. The only way I could see the villian having a stright on the turn is with pocket 6s, which is possible, but really no...

Re: NL50 JhTh -- How do you play this one?

the btn's bet size on the turn would usually get me to fire out a reraise. He's bet is so small it's almost like he's saying 'I can fold the straight'. If he has the flush, nh.

As played I think...

Re: Official Stars Regulars Thread: Part II

You wouldn't fold top pair no kicker after 2 barrels and a value bet? really? The turn bet could have been bigger but it's still a touch more than 3/5ths pot. What's missing there are the timing...

Re: 50NL: bad turn after flopping a set

I agree this line was too trappy, but to be honest I was looking for a 3 way all in given the action I'd seen at the table. I totally agree with the c/r on the flop.

Just to put things into...

50NL: bad turn after flopping a set

Re: 50NL: KTo River Value Bet

preflop is good, flop is good, but I'd bet closer to pot on the turn. Say $7 on the turn. you're almost giving the villians odds to draw out with a $5 bet and given the drawy nautre of the board...
