Re: Some hands from the 100k guaranteed.

This is his first hand at this table. So I treat him like a standard player. Even donkeys dont limp with Ax utg unless the x is 8 or higher. So I think A3 is not in his range.

Re: Some hands from the 100k guaranteed.

I am not a significant fav over a lone spade. Depending on what spade. If you give him a AsX KsX range (AJ-A8, KQ-K9) that limp utg. I am only a slight 55-45 fave thats not significant. Thats a race.

Re: Some hands from the 100k guaranteed.

1st hand: Utg is unknown this is his first hand. BB is a random donkey. Who leads out and for how much? If you lead out and get raised what is your...

Let's do the math ... I'll stick with my raising range of AJ+,88+ .. once you push let's say that villain calls with AQ+,JJ+. So villain raises 69 hands and calls your push with 39 of them...

Re: I suck at poker , easy fold pf with AQo right ?

I think calling here hoping to catch something on the flop is terrible with my stack size.
I have seen him limp Q10s utg and KQo and call a raise then stack off with top pair.

I suck at poker , easy fold pf with AQo right ?

This is the 30k 3r on Stars. Rebuy period is over and I have a stack of ~6k after losing JJ vs AQ. Blinds just changed to 200/400 with antes about 2 hands ago.

Villain is a donkey who limp calls...

Re: Professional No-Limit Hold \'em Volume 1 Review Thread

Matt I have a question about SPR for you. You are advocating to play suited connectors, gappers you need a SPR of 10 and up. In your chart on page 216 you have that in a 100bb game which most games...

But you should RARELY fold at your target SPRs after 1/3rd of...

My only gripe with the book is that it seems you are trying to provide a do it all formula so that players don't take it upon themselves to get better postflop.

I just finished reading the book. I think this book gives a pretty decent recipe for playing soft live games (e.g. bet an amount preflop so that the flop is easier to play,etc)....
