on DOYLE vs GUY

I dont think Doyle would have bet turn without the flush redraw. he KNEW he was calling a shove and believed enough that he was ahead.

I think he checks behind for pot control ...

I don't understand why they made such a big deal out of Doyle's call there. With the nut flush draw, and the fact that Guy has shown himself to be kind of out of control, that...

Re: Why passive poker works fine, sometimes.

I think this passive play is beneficial especially OOP. it is so easy to get pot stuck OOp betting TPTK to the river.

we are always tryig to maximise reward or minimise risk. when you are OOP...

Re: 400NL - fold top and bottom two on the flop ?

um the thing is, if you fold here, o dont really know why you raised the flop in the first place. arent you trying to get your money in?

i hate your call preflop but once you call pre how do...

Re: KK deep

i odnt mind check flop, check river, fold to a river bet.
betting flop is good too. if you get called though, you would basically have to check much turn.

playing this hand OOP is brutal really....

Re: 2/4nl let\'s crai turn semibluff... oh wait, he checked

my opinion: fold prelfop. i know it sounds so retarded but most escalated postflop situations happen because of prelfop involvement. as played i would just check muck. if you proceed further you are...

Re: Why passive poker works fine, sometimes.

I have been doing things similarly. I called down people with hnads like TPMK and OVERPS on three streets and got plenty of value. To some people it may seem like strangely passive play. but it is...

Re: 2/4NL - Shot-taking, BvB and a raunchy river

ugh, looks like a flush a lot. porbably had a flush and pr or str8draw on turn. fold is fine.

btw if you are taking a shot i like buying in for a little less. try 250-300. it is a very...

Re: Straight flush, what to do?

call and think about what went wrong in the hand. actually you are losing here very rarely. sounds like you folded the hand.

number one, 3-bet on the flop. if your villain wants to play a bit...

Re: Marginal spot....3b pot top pair

i agree to an extent, but then why reraise prelfop with a marginal hand against unknown? after that initial 'mistake', you must play your hand correctly. if you bet flop, you almost have t oget it on...

Re: On the turn w/ QQ. overpair and FD

?? raise flop. its not even close. you only are really behind AA or KK with a A or K of hearts. oh yeah, and a floppped flush which you haveto pay off.

Re: Lots of draws....oh and theres a pair also...

i think you can do either push all in or check for the free card. i dont think it really matters. if you feel you have great folding equity, move-in. if not check. you have one PSB so you can always...

Re: Questions about some hands I played at the Orleans

Re: Marginal spot....3b pot top pair

yuck... smells like AK. but it can be AJ.

theoretically you should go broke in this spot. Is the 140 + 77 + 77 + 106 = 400ish worth it? I think you should moe in on your opponent as you played it....

Re: KK OP too weak 3betet pot a little deep

i wish you bet more on flop so this would be easier to call. as played its tough. you have the K of hearts taking AK hearts out of his range. DO you think villain would flat AQ prelfop? if no, you...
