Re: Optimum bluffing frequency question

I know the game theorists and mathematicians have devised thie game theoretical optimal bluffing strategy however on the internet I really think that you have do consider a number of factors with...

Re: weird donk

It means he has a 4(or some wierd straight). You have to call though! I get it all the time when, especially when the bottom card pairs on the river and then they donk you, you know they just hit...

Re: AllIn preflop post

Having read the posts from the Med/Highstakes players the main point which hits home is the difficulty of playing this type of hand OOP.

From the concepts explored it would seem that the better...

Re: Notes

I make loads but I like to identify fishy plays, particularly "floater" and "any 2 suited" another favourite is "nutter"

Re: 3/6 stat after 50k hands

3.The only explanation for my better BB stats is that I´m the best table selector there is.And that could very well be the answer.Because I´m well aware of that I´m a mediocre player compared to most...

Re: 3/6 stat after 50k hands

For somebody who has won no money it does not look too bad! I think it is easy to fall into the trap of over defending the blinds, the equitues are so close to steal raises and its so hard to play...

Re: Every street debatable

Fold PF? 86o is hardly a powerhouse! As played just call him down and let him bluff off chips ace high. On the river he's ahead.

Re: broadway gutshot from oink\'s video

I can't see why were even discussing calling here. The gutshot outs aren't even clean, the Kc is tainted, and we are behind. You could argue that the BDFD is another out but it's still a spew to call.

Re: Inducing bluffs

To add to Bob's answer against LAG players if they will bet your hand for you OOP let them, then raise the river, they always call and you get their money.
I play pretty LAG post flop although I'm...

Re: uncertainty seat selection principle

The above table, not exactly Christmas is it? I'm sure you'll beat it but why bother? I mean 50/30 is a spewer but not exactly the juicyest fish out there.
For what it's worth I do think things are...

Re: lagging it up

Is the preflop here standard for you guys?

I think I'm too loose and I don't 3 bet here unless the raiser has been caught getting his money in light. Once he caps well you're playing hit to win...

Re: defending little blind when structure is 2 chip, 3 chip.

Same range to defend vs a raise, 3 bet and force the bb out as you would in the normal structure. To 3 bet or fold you need a fairly big hand to play in the first place, the good news is when you do...

Defending BB vs Raise and then cold calls

Anybody got any ranges for defending the bb vs a raise and then a cold caller or two?

I have been playing the following vs 1 raise and 1 caller is it too loose?

Are the A2o-A7o and K2o-K8o...

Re: Overpair+GS

With many str8 and flush draws not getting there yet DO NOT FOLD here. In fact this is a good example of where a raise with a draw can fold a better hand.
When the two of hearts falls on the river...

Re: b/f river

river b/f is fine i guess, but the flop call is bad imo. you are behind every hand in his range drawing to 2 outs.

Re: top pair on the turn

Call down. Lots of worse aces and draws that materialise he could be doing the raising with. Reraising not good here.

Re: Ok turn check?

I don't mind the free card here. What do all the books say about way ahead or way behind? He's either got you crushed and you have your outs or you're winning vs AK or similar.

What's the plan on...

Re: Probably really stupid

Against a LAG/LAGTAG this makes perfect sense. This guy is a bit more passive than that so for me raising the turn should be best.

Re: The delayed c-bet

I use it in this situation.

I raise C/O 9Ts BB calls. Flop AAK, BB checks, I check. I then bet the turn. I only use it against good players who will realise I check the trips or the king on the...

Re: Semibluff spot

I've got a thing about flushes and paired boards, even I get a bit passive here, I know were HU but it can become an almighty spew if villan turns a F/H and you hit.

If he continues to raise you...

Re: J6s flops flush in blind defense

Okay so it depends how you play. I'm an action type player and it is correct for me to bet both the flop and the turn hoping to get reraised. I give action so I get it. It wins in the long run.
If...

Re: J6s flops flush in blind defense

This is a reverse spew!
Just bet it and get action from loan clubs, str8 draws and pairs and get a nice healthy pot .
You HAVE to bet these every time. Opponents will never believe you have...
