Re: NL $100: Overpairs: Leaky? Spewy? HELP!

i would raise 14 preflop in #3, and lead flop for 19. otherwise fine.

i think #1 is fine too with your specific read.

Re: NL100: overpair on paired board vs turndonk

[ QUOTE ]
the cbet should have been a little bigger, but other than that i think this hand was played well, with his aggression being so low i think you have to give him credit.

NL100: overpair on paired board vs turndonk

villain is 44/7/0.6 over 27 hands.

i know, my CB was too small. is turn fold too weak? his line looks so much like a 9... and he's a shortie, so call and reevaluate river makes no sense.

Re: NL100: Overpair on 4straight3flush board - value there?

i think villain will call with nearly any Queen. i'm not really worried about the flush and just a little bit about the straight. most often if i'm beat he has flopped / turned / rivered a 2 pair i...

NL100: Overpair on 4straight3flush board - value there?

4th hand on table, no real reads but villain was playing all 3 hands before, therefore probably bad.

is there value in a riverpush? villain has 56$ left. i think rest is standard (but my CB should...

Re: Overpair, meet disgusting river.

i would push the turn.

as played: call the river. it's not really such an ugly river, but his line indicates that he has you beat. but call nontheless (pot odds way too good)

Re: NL50: river-minraise on paired board vs TPTK

@youngmachetes: why would you overbet this river? i like overbets, but here, i don't see any reason for overbetting...

in retrospective, i think i should have bet/folded the turn. as played, my...

Re: NL50: TPTK deep vs. aggression from TAG, line-check

[ QUOTE ]
why did you call the turn then fold on the river when an absolute blank fell and he bet out about the same percentage of pot? Were you hoping you could get a free showdown when he c/r...

Re: NL50: TPTK deep vs. aggression from TAG, line-check

so you want to play a 400bb pot with TPTK against a reasonable opponent? or you 3bet and fold to a 4bet/shove?

i think my flopline is fine here.

NL50: TPTK deep vs. aggression from TAG, line-check

Villain is 22/16/9 over 80 hands. please notice that we're nearly 200bb deep. his 3bet-range is 7%, but of course the samplesize is really small. but i think he would 3bet here with AQ most of the...

Re: TPGK deep OOP 50max

i really don't like your line. preflop is ok (even tough i normally fold OOP) after the 2 coldcallers, but i wouldn't assume that your t-high kicker is good most of the time.

i absolutely don't...

Re: How much to bet on this River - NL25 Full House

bet more on turn and shove river. a flush will call and most aces will call.

Re: Turn two pair, gross river

against a stealer you should resteal. so 3bet preflop (the best possibility) or raise flop or raise turn. but just calling him down with bottom pair / worst kicker won't really help.

but in...

Re: NL25 KK on Ace and FD flop

what's his AF?

i think flop is fine, as long as he is passive.

i c/c a small bet on river and probably fold to a bet bigger than 2/3 pot. don't see value in a bet.

Re: 3 Bet pot with straight draw

readless i prefer a c/f, with better reads and given the right villain i like a push.

Re: NL50: river-minraise on paired board vs TPTK

assumed you bet the turn 8$ and he called fairly quickly. what do you do on the river? (pot is 29.75$ and you have 34.50 left)

NL50: river-minraise on paired board vs TPTK

Villain is 50/6/0.3 over 32 hands.

villain insta-checked turn behind me.
a) do you bet/fold turn normally?
b) as played, do you call river getting 4:1?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB...

NL25: AJ vs T(AG) vs. bad river + overbetpush

how to play river? try a blocking bet? as played: do you call his...

Re: TPTK on drawy board - Should i fire turn??

if you raise the flop, make it potsize or a little less (2.5$ish).

if you fire again on turn, your commited. so push turn to look like a draw, but i personally like a check behind better.

Re: 25NL: Shove/fold here?

even tough his samplesize is really small, his stats look quite taggish and i can't see him limp/calling anything that beats us (maybe 55/77, but that's rather unlikely). at the same time, the board...
