Re: I made a pair

Re: Losing with AKo...

I just filtered for the times I flopped pair (16 out of 59 ~ 27%) and saw that I was a loser there as well. I will continue looking for leaks of course but this must be a sign of running bad, right?

Re: Losing with AKo...

BB just rebought up to 5 BBs, have him at 68/10/0.9, large peeling range.
UTG just sat down 5 hands ago, 3-bet A7o from BB against 3 players.

Losing with AKo...

Ok, first of all, itīs only a ~6k sample size but I'm worried. I've been dealt 59 Ako times and lost 59$ with them so that's -0,5BB/hand. I've been looking through them but I'm not entirely sure of...

Re: River action?

As played, would we have bet if checked to on this super scary river?

Re: weird donk

To me it looks like it could be A high thinking "Oh, the board double-paired, I gotz the nutz", but that's maybe only true for a bad player at 1/2 where I hang about. That player would then call a...

Re: Chart: BB Facing Raise (draft)

I would defend with some more unsuited kings, all the way down to K2o depending on the raiser and his position.

Re: Notes

I notice myself taking notes as a madman on the worst players but they almost never come back for obvious reasons. Then a player that I have 300 hands on sits down and I haven't written anything, but...

Re: omg a pair!

Some players donk/checkraises middlepair on flop, do you have any read on this player concerning this? I see the river decision as a really close one, if I'm winning - b/c, losing - check... Jokes...

Re: Overplayed top pair?

The call-down is fine, maybe calling down after the c/r is a possibility since he could be bluffing on this ragged board and you don't want to fold that. Since I don't think he's capping a worse J...

Re: 55 against aggro

Wow, I'm going to think about this since it's obvious that I'm wrong. Just for the record, do we call down a turn c/r? Then what rivers are we folding? Just the 9's?

Re: 55 against aggro

Well, what I'm thinking is that we cannot call down a turn c/r and it's likely given that villain is aggro that he will bet river with a worse hand if we check turn. Also, I don't see him folding...

Re: 55 against aggro

I'd bet river, fold to a c/r. I like the turn value check even if it didn't work this time.

AA meeting aggression

Had played 9 hands on table, both had played almost each one and played their pairs and draws aggressively.

Re: I hate him...

Would he think that you have a hand that you first 3-bet on flop and then fold to a turn c/r? With that action I'd put you on an overpair/A9. Therefore I don't think he's only semibluffing a FD since...

Re: flopping a set

I'd b/c. But I'm not sure about it. I think most players bet obvious straights like that since they fear it will be checked through.

Re: K9o button steal - passive line vs BB 3bettor

Normally I want to raise either flop or turn. In this case raising turn would have the benefit of him thinking you might've picked up a FD and call down light. I don't know if you've got any read on...

I'm surprised he didn't kill you for rivering him since he already was pissed of. Nice thread.

Re: Trying to learn to raise for a free SD

Ok, so if I understand correctly.

With the games beeing so aggressive these days, the RFSD is not so useful for two reasons, one beeing the risk of getting semi-bluffed out of the pot by a draw...
