AQ on button deep-stacked vs. short stack\'s all-in

$400 live tournament in underground room. Start with 10,000 chips, 40-minute levels.

4th level, 100-200 with 25 ante.

I'm on button with 9,000. MP limps, cutoff goes all-in for 2,500.

Re: Poker After Dark thread (week of 11/12 - Show Open)

Ivey is about as cool as a gambler could ever be.

Doesn't give a [censored], wins effortlessly, doesn't cry when he loses. He really is "The Man."

Re: Dexter: 11/04

Is the mother's killer in Naples just a gone plot point?

Why didn't he report Dexter? He wasn't on the run from the law, he was in witness protection, right?

Still think that is a big loose...

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/30 - $50k HORSE - Final Table)

Deeb had people all-in drawing dead or close to it more than I have seen in a while.

Re: liberty

1. Hellmuth said clearly several times the chop cards did not count, there would be no action on them.

2. Remember, this was, by far, the biggest game Galfond has ever played. The Full Tilt games...

Re: What do you think about Eli Elezra?

If I remember correctly, Elezra had the chip lead the whole time heads up. Scotty did draw close to even a few times, but Elezra quickly regained the lead each time in a big pot.

Re: 30 Rock s2 Ep4

I loved the ep. 30 Rock is definitely funnier than the office right now.

1. Is it bad when you desecrate something?

2. "And the party last night ..."

3. Followship award for product...

Re: PAD live pros vs internet superstars?

Everyone interested in this should find a way to contact Poker After Dark or at least Ali to try to make it happen.

Who should represent the Internet crowd? Throw Antonius out because he has been...

Re: Curb Your Enthusiasm 10/21

Before the season started, I was wondering if David was going to do the divorce storyline. That didn't take long.

Unlike real life, I actually hope they get back together.

Cheryl was a very...

Re: Ty Stewart\'s fawning fan boi blog

There's no way this could work for the entire final table. Too long, too boring for all but the most dedicated players/fans.

Heads-up only would be interesting, though. This usually would not take...

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/9 - ME Final Table)

I too was offended by all the praying. But you have to remember, this isn't even really a gambling venture for most of these people at this point. This is a once-in-a-lifetime,...

Re: Poker After Dark thread (10/8 - Mega Match)

Nice to finally hear Ivey's opinion on the Vaswani golf situation, in his own words.

Where's Shaniac?

He's pretty much the biggest Khan and Molina fan in the world.

WSOPE Cage Match: Gus, Antonius on same table with big stacks

Some sick tables for Day 3 of WSOP-E today, starting with Gus Hansen and Patrik Antonius, two of the chip leaders, on the same table.

Patrik has position on Gus this time. I think Gus had position...

Re: sbrugby (aba20) vs Daniel Negreanu - Pokerstars.

Is WSOP-E being televised in America, or just in Europe? Sounds like some good TV tables.

Re: Decision at WPT Gulf Coast Championship FT

I believe the TDA rule is "Verbal declarations in turn are binding. Verbal declarations out of turn MAY be binding."

Leaves a lot of wiggle room.

Did the other player actually say "reraise" or...

Re: WSOP on ESPN Thread (9/11 - Day 3)

On the pro side for Khan: He did seem genuinely excitable and full of nervous energy. He obviously did not mean any of his antics to be mean-spirited.

HOWEVER ... I cannot believe someone could...

Re: WSOP E Real Bracelet or Not?

The better question is, where is everyone? The fields for the HORSE and PLO were tiny.

I can understand HORSE, since the stud games might not be as well-known in Europe (they are barely known to...

Re: Poker Magazines

Bluff has become a good magazine, the only one to rival CardPlayer.

Galfond's articles are very good, plus ones from Brandon Adams, etc.

I just deposited easily on Full Tilt

I haven't put any money online in a while.

I thought it was supposed to be a pain, having to use e-passport or something. I decided to take a shot and just put it on my debit card.

Boom,...

Re: WPT Poker by the Book 2 thread

Doyle was third that year, going out with J9d vs. 99 on a 9xx, two diamond flop.

McEvoy and the runner-up (Peate, I think?) then played the longest, nittiest heads-up match in main event history....

Does anyone have or know where to find the video of Kido Pham busting Lee from the Bally's circuit event final table in 2005?
