Re: I win more on weekends in Vegas than weekends in LA.

My results are the same. Better in LV than Commerce or HG @LHE. Long time poster Rick Nebiolo made this comment comparing poker in the two cities. 1) Everyone that comes to a casino in LA comes to...

Re: 44 Set in the SB

1) Putting your Villian on a hand:

While your Villian plays a lot and cold calls a lot, those facts say nothing about her raise range. We played Tuesday with people who raised NOTHING PF but...

Re: In the pond (HG) with Frond

And his position was not optimal to ty something against 3 limpers. Also, some of these limpers were time bombs because they uniformly were NOT PF raising premium hands.

Re: In the pond (HG) with Frond

Too easy. 3 mucks and we're out. Figured the only hand I could beat was KQo but was p.o.'ed about getting raised out of a juicy hand and position. And I got raised out TWICE in the same session by...

In the pond (HG) with Frond

4/8 @ Hawaiian Gardens @ a pretty nice table. NO PF raisers, except us. Lots of chasing, lots of crap showdowns. (Hey, Frond, did you notice how FEW crap showdowns occurred with either of US in...

Re: Tourneys in Vegas

Ignore your budget critics. The hotel choice probably wasn't yours and that "high-roller" hotel choice shouldn't be measured against your "low roller" poker budget.

AllVegasPoker.com tries to...

Re: Bad Beat Jackpots = Zero Sum?

1) On the math, IMO, BBJ's are -EV because less than the sum collected goes back to the player. OTOH,
A) It is VERY clear that BBJ's ATTRACT people to our games. I even try to play during 2X JP...

Re: Starting Bankroll

I'd like to point out that a difference in how casino's play cash can make a big difference in chip (bankroll) management at the table. At Commerce, cash plays. Therefore, it is easy to buy in...

Re: New to Vegas - Micro limit player

IMO, soft LLHE in LV = Bally's, MGM & Excal. It is entirely possible to beat the rake. Relax, play smart, have fun. $100 is an all day sucker @ 2/4.

Re: Things you love about live poker

Re: 2/4 B&M - Preflop with AQo; cap in 7 handed pot?

I agree with mikeca. I see no point in capping PF. Yes, you might have some equity, but you could also be dominated by AK, or, more likely, be drawing to few outs from all the typical Ace-rag play....

Commerce Jackpot update

Effective 10/31 - Commerce has joined the Ten's or better crowd. Minimum qualifying hand is now Ace's full of Tens or better, NOT any pair. JP has been increased from 6k to 13K for 3/6 & 4/8 and...

Sometimes this a 5 if the villain thinks you will check behind in fear of a c/r (though if he thinks this he should have played the flop fast), sometimes this is just a pair or top two,...

Re: Showing One Card (after everyone has folded)

O8 is different. If you are in a showdown, you are expected to table all four cards and let the cards speak for themselves. Some many people make mistakes reading O8 hands, this is the fastest way...

Re: 8/16 Live Thin Value Raises

A couple of interesting hands have generated a diversity of opinions OP.

My 2c:

Hand 1: Villian LIMPED PF AND didn't cap. No evidence of KK. flop c/r is most often associated with 2 pair. ...
