Re: Check throuh afterI spike TP?
I think it's a fine line to mix it up with against more observant players once in a while. That said, I think betting is still decidedly better as a default play.
If your opponent will really...

Re: hand reading question
3-betting this river makes no sense to me. Esp against an unknown. I'd expect better hands would always call a 3-bet. Personally, if I bet this river against an unknown, I'm calling 100% of the...

Re: A hand vs peter_rus
I'd prefer just capping this most of the time pf barring some read. Not capping is ok some of the time.
Given that you didn't cap, it's time to fold this flop. Almost as bad as a flop as you...

Re: hand against teri
I just don't think you have much chance of moving her off A-high. To me the turn donk smells much fishier than a turn c/r. If you play a lot of made hands this way and Terri knows it, that's one...

Re: hand against teri
The flop call is marginal. If I did have a heart I'd certainly call, without it, I'd probably fold 60-70% of the time.
Given that you didn't, I'd prefer a turn c/r (and betting any river). You...

Re: 100/200 Bellagio
Generally, a SB 3-bet vs a button open raise is not going to be respected very much. This flop is quite draw heavy (spades, OESD, overcard/gut-shot), so I'm not surprised he called you down. His...

Re: JJ
I'm not sure what the best play is from his prospective. Personally, I don't like the preflop cap then 3-bet on the flop and I wouldn't take that line with TT very often against someone I considered...

Re: JJ
[ QUOTE ]
Villian is a tight, thinking player, but not overly creative. He's been running bad and I sense he's tilting a bit.
He raises from early and I 3-bet with JJ. Folded around and he...

I was in this game for the exact days u were. Who were you?
I know Nico, he was certainly one of the best players in the game. Borgata Joe is really only a lag pre flop. He is pretty...

Re: 50/100 87s
The board is pretty draw heavy and it's unlikely you are check raising because you hit a pair so I think overcards should call down unless most of the probable draws hit the turn/river.

Re: 200/400 5 handed common but not so easy
Why can't you give a "free card"? Free cards don't hurt you much if your opponent was planning on calling a bet anyways and I believe this opponent is intending to at least call with any draw that...

Re: 1/2 b\'gio hand
Yes MP might have a pair, but isn't it more likely that SB has a pair and he's definitely going no where. I don't see the point of the raise at all. Did you think you could beat SB without...

Re: Party 50/100: I\'m confused
If anything I should be noted for the opposite. I think I have around 3500 hands on him so he should have similar on me so I doubt he has that note on me.

Re: Party 50/100: I\'m confused
I would understand it if it were heads up, or if he expects that MP would be more likely to bet it .... but he has to expect that if he checks, most of the time it's either checked through or I bet...

Re: Party 50/100: I\'m confused
It feels like a big hand on the surface, but why wouldn't AA/KK/AK just bet out (or check-call if slowplaying) to trap the middle guy rather than check-raising to shut him out. It just didn't feel...

Party 50/100: I\'m confused
Villian is a 17/12.5/2.3 regular in this game. I think he's one of the trickier TAGs in the game.

Re: 200/400 Live AA misplayed?
In that case I think you do have to bet this turn. And definitely bet the river, the pro isn't going for a check/raise. If the fish check-raises (the river), I gag and call.

Re: 200/400 Live AA misplayed?
I'd go ahead and bet the turn here as you have the Ah and hands that are ahead of you (except for a flush) are unlikely to check-raise. What kind of fish is the fish though? Is he too passive or...
