Re: 50NL fold Aces here? (ugh I hate saying that!!)

A stat I often use in these situations to provide a bit more addition info is the cold-call PFR%. I use it basically to help differentiate the ATC deep-stack callers and the tighter/more str8 forward...

Re: LC - Why don\'t you play 6 max ?

My win rate is alot higher playing FR vs 6max. I know, like you, I need to work on my 6-max skills but the variance is, honestly, too much for me to handle at this point. As my skills get better (I...

Re: The casino I frequent is drying up...

The NL action in my particular, small CA casino is really getting alot tougher, overall. It seems as though the tables have a greater strong player to weak/fish ratio. The limit action, curiously,...

Re: NL25 stats...What the hell am i doing wrong?!?!?!?!?!?

Tourney situations differ from cash at this level due to the main fact that at this level if you are not careful you'll most likely commit way too much of your stack (and be pot-stuck) w/big pairs...

Re: NL25 stats...What the hell am i doing wrong?!?!?!?!?!?

Definately find more spots to rasie preflop. I see your low number here hurting you in two ways: you're easier to read because even the weaker players know you have a big hand when you do raise...

On the other hand I think 9x, Tx and a draw could also take this line

Re: 25 NL JJ overpair on flop against CR

Vs this opponent your overpair equity drops way low vs his possible range. The 0.75 AF is what really tells me this bet means something - when I see stats like this I'm laying this one down no prob...

Re: 10NL: Rivered stone-cold nuts, what is the best play?

Pot the flop. The flush draw sucks vs your str8 draw and you need to take advantage of all the fold equity you can at this point (I know it's not alot but folding ANY potential hand that could draw...

Re: NL10. nut FD with overs facing c/r

The fact you have ace hi vs an unknown, OOP on a non-dry board leads me to believe that c-betting this flop is probably not a great line (not the most popular line, however). Ask yourself - what is...

Re: NL $10 - Aces on paired flop facing massive overbet

Does the villain really overbet this flop with a king? QQ - yeah, perhaps if the villain views you as overly aggressive or puts you on AK. However, I think you'll see enough underpairs, draws, and...

You gotta work within your skill level. I'm not refering to your poker skills but your skills needed to handle and keep focused on playing the best you can. Of course bad beats suck. Most of us,...

Re: Play better when drinking?

Hell no! This happens to be a HUGE leak (or [censored] habit) for me. Here's how it happens: I sit down at a couple tables on a Fri or Sat nite, play for a couple hours, get up or maybe even double...

Re: I have a straight what do I do?

Vs a calling station like this, I'm leaning towards a call. Enough times you'll see an ugly two-pair or some terribly played set to make it worth while. Sure, a non-nut flush is for sure possible...

NL10 - Hit My Set on a Terrible Flop

Villain is very loose and seems determined get to the showdown at any cost. Have also seen him, at times, place alot of value on TP and be willing to shove (or call a shove).

His stats are:...

Re: Is Multi-Tabling A Sign Of A Good Player?

The a number of multitablers I've ran into seem to fit the weak/tight/rock style. Usually buyin short and nutpeddle & set mine. Their stats fall into the 10/2/0.5 range and I love to steal all day vs...

Re: Playing forever without a downswing? Is it possible?

Re: Reaching the end of my rope

Yours is not an unfamiliar story. Getting an adequate bankroll for your limits is key. It will help you ride out the variance that most definately occur esp in the micros. The bad beats will happen,...
