Re: quick preflop - K8s 3bet from SB 15/30

so you calldown when he raises you on the flop?

do you also check the turn if he calls your flop bet?

I dont think this guy is going to fold to your flop bet too often.

Re: quick preflop - K8s 3bet from SB 15/30

well you have a very loose and agro opponent you have a weakish king and you are OOP

I'd much rather keep my investment cheap and hope to hit a flop and gain multiple bets that way over isolating...

Re: quick preflop - K8s 3bet from SB 15/30

getting BB to fold improves your chances for what? calling down with K high?

I'd call preflop rest is fine.

Re: 66 in the BB

I 3bet or call C/R the flop depending on the opponent.

If they raise light i tend to 3bet more.

Against idiots I tend to just calldown, I would on that board raise the turn for a free showdown.

Re: Probably an easy hand...TT in the BB

Re: One more hand...QQ this time

I'd probably check without a good read, a lot of hands just hit that river.

Re: An AQs hand

I check behind there just arent enough hands that you beat that'll call on the river. Good chance he rivered 2 pair or even bottom end of the straight.

Re: BLIND QUESTION -- strongest hand you will fold

yep suited connectors are overrated

they are good against overly tight players who will fold easily to your semibluff raises but against most you just spew chips because you'll rarely flop the...

Re: BVB rope toss - stars 10/20

Dont play like a pussy when you have a hand that big.

If you had a weak Q or J then fair enough.

Re: 2 pieces of advice

When running bad give up some EV to play a lower variance style of game.

When running good its ok to try some new moves.

Re: Two hands I play passively

I think hand 1 is fine, the pot is pretty big you have 2 backdoors and pair outs against a PP.

I'd call that flop nearly always.

Hand 2 ehh not something I do myself because i always end up...

Re: taking my aggression up a notch...

you have position, if he is semibluffing then he will bet the river regardless

if he has a weaker made hand he probably isnt calling a river bet

Re: 15/30 66 hand

why would an agro guy automatically raise this flop with a flushdraw or overcards?

look at the board, for him it is much better to wait for the turn regardless because I'm not folding on that flop...

Re: More controversy -- river bet-call with 3PBK

when you get 2 calls on the turn I'm likely check/folding that river

Re: 99 spot

Well if he is 3betting light with say A8o or 66 I dont want him picking up the pot when the flop comes QJx.

Re: Does my hand have too much showdown value to do this?

You checked to him twice and he'd expect you to think that he was bluffing with complete air so why wouldnt he valuebet A high sometimes?

Some TAGs do weird [censored] and you have to account for...

Re: 3bet turn?

you'd only 3bet the turn for metagame reasons, since you have no history on the guy then dont bother

Re: 99 spot

because any broadway on the flop is going to scare you

you have the button he is probably 3betting light, you gain extra equity from the limper

if i capped it and he raised me on a AT8 flop I'd...

Re: Does my hand have too much showdown value to do this?

I'm not a fan you pretty much hope that he has JT or K high.

He wont fold a pair because that river card is a blank.

His likely calling range here is a weak ace a pair of 2s or another weak...

Re: A counterfeited hand vs brocathmel

I've played against both a lot, all though not lately.

From what i remember brothel makes many more really bad K high showdowns and is slightly worse than poet.

They both play like bots.

Re: $20/40: Sticking w/plan on bad river card.

I normally prefer to just 3bet the flop or raise the turn.

Considering that the board is fairly drawy quite a few turn cards will be scary so I'd raise this flop.
