Re: 1/2 live hand - curious about a read/tell

Thanks all. All the responses make sense, and basically I think that in this(and many other) situations I keyed on a couple things and didn't slow down and really think about everything going on in...

Re: 1/2 live hand - curious about a read/tell

By the way, I do think I made two major mistakes here(at least).

First, if I wanted to use that read to play my TPGK strong into a raiser, I could have done so much more cheaply by just betting...

1/2 live hand - curious about a read/tell

Before last week, I'd never played live poker past a few home games. I spent last week up in Atlantic City and spent a ton of time in the Borgata poker room, mainly playing 1/2 NL.

First, the...

Re: Villain offers to show a card

[ QUOTE ]
So do I think he really has 2,2.

[/ QUOTE ]

I can't imagine he has 22 if he's offering to show you a card. If he's offering to show you a card and doesn't care which card, he has...

Re: Atlantic City Lodging suggestions

I just got back from Atlantic City today, I stayed at the Ramada Limited on Black Horse Pike and it was fine, clean, fine service. I brought a laptop with me and mentioned the desire for internet...

Re: Things it took me a while to learn part 7, Metagame and Concentrat

[ QUOTE ]
Also, I have built a roll to 3.4K. I'm on a massive SNG downswing and, at the same time, my MTT play has taken a marked improvement. Is it time for me to strictly concentrate on MTTs? ...

Re: AK Post: I\'m posting this as new because I\'m tired of it

[ QUOTE ]
I will also add that the most influential posts that I've read which at least make me feel like a major player in most tournaments are the ones that are tough and a little condescending.

Re: Things it took me a while to learn part 7, Metagame and Concentrat

I don't know if its part of this one or perhaps another part in this series, but I'd really like to know what, if anything, you look for in pokertracker/PA HUD when you don't otherwise have notes on...

Re: $3R TT Preflop

converter doesn't accurately point out antes, there's a 125 ante. its a standard Stars tournament and it was listed in the pot so I didn't point that out.

Villain is new to the table so I don't have any reads on him. There are no particularily noteworthy players still remaining behind me except the button being very short and SB being very large. This...

Given the options mentioned above, I'd prefer to have 6 and 6a both available.

My suggestions outside of that would first and foremost add turbos, and secondly to seriously consider offering these...

Re: AJ on BTN c/r small on turn.

Why is the fold to the c/r such an easy decision? The villain's actions really don't make a lot of sense, do they? I guess betting 1/3 of the pot on the flop and checking the turn might be a sign...

I'd be interested in this as well, googling turned up some older versions but I couldn't find this one with those tight/average ranges anywhere.

Re: AQ middle of tourney

8075 in the pot, 5300 to call, assuming i've done the math right. You need to win 40% of the time to call.

If you limit his range to 88+,AQs+,AQo+, then its a fold. Drop it to 77+ or worse, add...
