Re: FR Theory - stack sizes and how you should modify to them

A few months ago I tried the Miller shortstack strategy at NL50 when I had to play more tables than I was comfortable with.
It is indeed much easier to play (I had 10/8 stats over a few thousand...

Re: Party Depositing Question

At Party, you can choose the currency for your account. So if you set up a Euro account and deposit 500 Euros, 500 Euros will show up in your account.

These are converted to dollars (I think -- I...

what was your reasoning?

The reasoning was inexperience!

I felt he was on an Ace draw also and did not take into account the flush problem.

Re: HU NL/FL Holdem vs assumed donks - best way to play?

Thanks for the tips. Tightening up from the BB is probably a good idea indeed. Most opponents seem to have very little idea of the value of position. There's also lots of open-limping from the SB.

HU NL/FL Holdem vs assumed donks - best way to play?

I am a mirco/smallstakes player that plays a lot at Everest Poker. This site has a lot of fish. It also offers me regular good reload bonuses.

These reload bonuses have clearing conditions that...

I haven't had my made flushes called so often since the Party $1/$2 Beginners tables.

Re: NL100 - QQ versus a nit

Q1: 4% of hands is 99+, AK, AQs. He'll probably be even tighter for a 3-bet, but your range still seems overy tight to me.

Q2: Against the stated range you only have 28% equity preflop, since...

Read the page on overcards.com:
BetPot web page (http://overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/BetPot)

It explains how to do this, among other things.

Re: Running Hud

I'm running with 4 to 5 tables on Party and Stars, no lag.
Party occasionally has strange lag but I think that's Party, not PAHUD.

Very standard PC, 3 GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM.

Re: 50NL - Flopped nuts, value bet this river though?

With those AF figures, it looks like he is the type of player to chase all draws and fold the river.
I might check just out of curiosity to see what he has (the minbet donks are so weird), but...

Re: Nats Flash

I would bet out on the flop here.

The turn is very bad for you: the only way you're gonna get it all-in now is vs a full house. I can't imagine you're getting it all-in against a worse hand here....

Re: Will my limit game improve?

I disagree.. I think playing NL can definitely help your limit game.

When playing NL, you can pass up some thin equity because you can make it up fairly easily. This is not so true in limit and...

Re: Tough spot 50NL vs 2p2er, deep

I don't see a value bet here, the only hands calling that you beat are some pocket pairs (99,77,66). You'' have to fold to a big check/raise as well, so I just check behind.

Re: Will my limit game improve?

I don't think it helps. The games are just so different.
For me, limit is about finding tiny bits of value in marginal situations, even against donks much of the time.
Whenever I return to limit...

Re: New to SH - Am I too aggro? - 3 hands (NL50)

Hand 2 and 3 seem pretty standard, but hand 1 looks overdone unless you have a specific read or image. Just enjoy the free flop, chances are you can steal it there as well.
(I have tons of hand in...

In short, you value bet the hell out of the calling stations on all streets, even the river. Holding just top pair, you tend to bet a little less than with two pair/set.

Re: AJo UTG

9-handed I fold AJo preflop UTG.

The flop hits you in just about the best way you can hope for (OK, JJJ is better but not realistic). Your SPR is 7.5, so I think you can basically commit with...
