Re: Negreanu\'s Psuedo Super System

I don't think its a stretch to say that we'll see Daniel win the WSOP Main Event before we see this book published...

At this point, either event occuring seems unlikely.

Re: Book suggestion: Ed Miller poker essays

A collection of Ed's best NPA articles is a great idea for a book. Too bad 2+2 couldn't do it. Maybe D&B or someone else could because that would be an incredible book.

Re: Books about reading hands

[ QUOTE ]
Roy Cooke's "Real Poker II: The Play of Hands" is a fixed limit book that has one actual hand, played by the author, per chapter. It shows a solid pro's thought process for every decision...

Re: Love the book. Now I want the hat.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since you're not very familiar with baseball. Find a real hat. Perhaps one with an NY on it? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Phil Gordon\'s Little Black Book

The Real Deal is a book about poker, not really a book on how to play poker.

Re: PNL & the Jocks vs Nerds issue

[ QUOTE ]

First....I haven't read PNL yet. I preordered from Amazon but no sign of shipping yet.

But I would almost certain buy PNL Vol. 2 if it is not 6-max specific. If it was just about...

Re: PNL vrs. NLHTAP

Alright, so what is the consensus here?

1. NLHTAP is the more advanced 2+2 NLH book and PNL makes it easier to understand NLHTAP.

2. PNL covers and addresses nearly everything in NLHTAP in a...

Re: Salon.com article about poker: \"Requiem for a poker game\"

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
It's actually a decent article. I actually agree that the game has become too "mechanical" as I'm not at all a fan of PokerTracker or HUDs.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's unfortunate....

Re: PNL and SNG Strategy

It took forever for the Stoxtrader/Zobags book to hit my local B&N. It was almost a month if I remember correctly.

I'm not going to take any chances or wait any longer than necessary for PNL.

Re: Phil Gordon on Malmuth and Sklansky

I don't think that's a shot at all. He's simply saying some players get excited after reading some 2+2 books and over-use some of the concepts they've learned. How is that taking a shot?...
