I was thinking that our position might take too much equity for raising to make sense. I think the worst suited connector I raise here is like QJ. I...

Re: KQs UTG+2, every street debatable

[ QUOTE ]
UTG+1 raises first in. He is a decent player(textbook TAG) and definatly a winner.

Re: Top set multiway on pretty terrible river

5 other people in the hand on the river?
Check, you can decide if you're going to call later.

Now if you have something other than a passive description on the other players, then maybe we need...

Re: Monster Draw played passively on flop

If I knew the BB was going to bet the flop, I would go for the check raise.

Otherwise, as long as your putting in bets it's kind of hard to screw this thing up on the flop.

I'd be of the opinion that if you can't easily replace a grand you probably shouldn't be playing.

Re: B&M 3/6 flopped small full house

This is one of those hands where your relative position is bad. Overcalls are the way to go.

Re: Two Standard Hands I think

Hand 2 if your getting as many to the flop as you describe, I'm calling 77, and debating 88.

Hand 1 looks good, I hate that sinking feeling when they come back to get some more on the river, not...

Re: AQ in MP played passively

This flop you really need to bet. You are ahead of most hands still, and if one of these guys folds, especially the guy left to act, that's really good for you.

Re: AQo in MP against pf raiser

Matthew -

Maybe I'll have to give your book a read again. When I read "call" with AQ it was a sign of this book shouldn't be trusted, and I set it down.

Re: Limit poker - more money at table => better player?

The reasons I can see for sitting down with an outrages stack are:

Accidental / typo : Says nothing about the player

Showing off : Bad player

Good Player playing a lower limit...

Re: 4%

I would think that AQ and JJ are unlikely raises from this guy EP, and he probably won't be happy playing AQ for 3 bets at all.
That leaves 12 ways for Kings, 2 ways for aces, 6 ways for queens on...

Re: Ugh I suck on the river

Bet, he wants to call. If he calls and you lose, that's not so bad. However if you play a good aggressive game this guy may pay the river bet with any two cards "just to see".

if the CO is rational, this is reasonable, I think this post happened because the CO turned out to be an aggresive loon.

Re: KQo vs agressive Player

Don't forget that the flush card is as much a scare card to the opponent and we can bet a little more often without fear of an ace raising. The opponent won't often have a flush here, because the A...

Re: Include bad beat winnings in win rate calculation?

I've been involved in 3 of these, and I've never included them. I would suggest taking 1/4 of the money and throwing it into savings when the 1099 comes at the end of the year. I couldn't convince...

you are way overthinking what a 1/2 player does here. If he was any good you would have been 3 bet preflop.

Re: 1/2 A2 OOP multi way pot. Correct play?

Give it up on the flop. If you were only paying 1 bet then seeing the turn is worth it, but at two bets it's no longer profitable, even with the backdoor draw.

Re: River bet with TPGK?

Who is the Kill blind in this hand? Also what is your position? Depending on those things you might be able to convince me to smooth call, but I'm having a hard time otherwise.

Re: Counting pot size by bet in B&M games- Pro Advice Requested

Just count the bets as they go in. Estimate the drop or rake as a bet size and just remove it as you go. Since you shouldn't be playing in 80% of the hands, practice counting the pot on your off...
