Re: Would players go for this Rebuy / add on Structure?

[ QUOTE ]
Buy in $10/ T1000, Rebuys $10/ T1000, Add on $20 / T2000

Rebuys up until the end of Round 3 and then the option to purchase the add on. I'll create an appropriate blinds structure but...

Re: Tournament Streamlining Tips?

[ QUOTE ]
One more recent change I made was to put myself on a freeroll for the initial buy in. If I have to rebuy I pay full price. I provide all the food and drink, which I charge for to cover...

Re: Tournament Streamlining Tips?

Looks pretty good. I'd add a few points about timekeeping:

Make sure your tourney clock is visible to all. I used to use a kitchen timer in my early days and it sucked having to announce times...

Re: Home Casino Night - I get to be the house!

[ QUOTE ]
Yes I was refering to the famous thread. That set aside, I wouldn't suggest trying to be the host. If one of your friends hit it lucky, you will be taken for a big hit. I would suggest...

Re: Need card setup advice

[ QUOTE ]

I take it you don't want to go with Copags any more?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't mind the Copags. My setups have lasted me a little over 2 years so I've certainly extracted full value. ...

Need card setup advice

Currently I use Copags in my game but it's finally gotten to the point where the faces are fading and I've had two decks get chipped by careless players.

I like the poker size cards over the...

Re: Foxwoods 4/8 Game - is it a joke?

[ QUOTE ]
A fairly standard "problem" with 4/8 is that it's played with $1 chips, which makes the pots look larger, even though it's the same number of bets as if it were 2/4 or 3/6. As a result,...

Foxwoods Automatic Sign Up Machines

Just noticed yesterday that the kiosks appear to be on. Is this system actually working now? (I'm kind of an idiot and didn't notice the kiosks until after I had already signed up at the desk.)

Re: Question on Foxwoods games

You shouldn't have any trouble finding a seat at 5/10. The game plays with a full kill though and table profiles can vary widely. The 4/8 game is easy and profitable if you'd rather not deal with...

Re: Going to Foxwoods this weekend for the first time. Any advices?

[ QUOTE ]
Not sure about the O-8 action I'm pretty sure they have 2-4 and maybe 5-10. Never played in the games but if you don't have an AARP card you will be in the minority.

Re: LHE or NLHE or Dealer Choice - Home game?

[ QUOTE ]
It sounds like maybe you don't have the proper balance of people. I've found NLHE to be the most popular by far (I can't stand live 25c LHE), but how about this... instead of running a...

Re: LHE or NLHE or Dealer Choice - Home game?

Our cash games are always Dealer's Choice. One or two orbits per dealer. Some of my players would rise up and hurt me if I tried to to a full night of LHE. We've done full nights of NLHE before...

You might want to check for cheap flights to Tunica?

Re: North Carolina residents...Whats your plan?

I think Delta has pretty cheap flights to Vegas and I'll take that over a 7hr drive to the Borg. Either that or I'll have to learn NL and get involved some of the $1-2 homegames in the area.

I'm...

Re: Vegas New Year\'s Eve?

I did this a few years back by standing out on the Strip. I don't really recommend it and think that a hotel party would have been much better. I'm generally ok with crowds and craziness but it...
