Re: Into the Asylum Check

If I'm button, I'm bet-folding almost all my range here because folds like this make it profitable.

BTW, a c/r here would be kinda sexy, but probably just FPS spew.

Blind battle: multi-street bluff

Decent villian, winner I'm pretty sure. No relevant recent history.

SB completes, I raise 67o.

Flop Kh Qs Ah

He pauses a while and bets, I raise pretty quick.

I don\'t believe you (limp/r)

10/20. Villian is unknown, so probably a fish.

HJ limp, I raise ATo in SB, BB folds, HJ raises, I call.

Final Board 9h 3s Jc 7c Jh

I check-call every street. He thinks a while before betting...

What are you getting value from here? A turned flush draw (one that chooses not to semibluff this great turn)? A check lets him bluff pocket pairs...

Re: Good hand, but check/call this river?

I bet here for sure, and make a crying call. I think bet/fold is for times when we have a strong read.

However, after thinking about it for a while, I think most of the hands that will call a...

Shocked no one has suggested this: if you c-bet the the flop OOP and he just calls, then c/r the turn light (say, most pairs). This is...

Re: I take a free card...

Bet/call. I probably bet/fold most rivers.

On the turn, you have a lot of outs, so he doesn't have to fold very often for a bet to be right. If you believe he's c/ring the turn a lot, check.

Re: contemplating calldowns against relative unknown

1: wtf? Fold unless you hate money.

3: If you don't want to fold, 3-bet the flop and fire the turn. As played, fold absent a read.

Re: Running a multi-street bluff

I don't c/r the flop, but I think the rest is good. I think he folds enough on the turn to make this an easy bet and I think he folds enough on the river to make it a close, but correct, bet.

Re: AK large capped pot line check

[ QUOTE ]
Say the flop gets capped and everyone is still in. SB capped it. Turn is a low blank. Do you call SB's turn lead getting 16 to 1 again?

Re: how did I play it?

You miss a lot of value by not c/ring the flop, particularly given your read.
