To the OP: I'm sure there are a few guys (like me) who for a much smaller fee would love to smash this renegers knees...

Dear Stars:

1) DON'T allow data-mining;

2) Take more effective measures to prevent data-mining;

3) Take *pro-active* measures to detect and eliminate bot accounts;

Major dittos. The reason I play on Stars is that it seems like the most straight up site to play on. The use of HUD and other devices IMHO is just a different form of cheating....

Re: War Against the Bots

I have a question about all of these people complaining about bots, what is really the difference between some guy programming a computer to raise or fold based on position and stats and someone 8...

Re: Would a shorstack boycott on PS work?

Never saw this, just watched a few tables for a little bit and the short stacks were doubling up like crazy. Is this really a profitable strategy?

Re: A terrible experience at local cardroom

So this place seems like some easy money. How much do you think you lost in the future for not chopping? Doesnt sound like you had good equity to me.

I play in live games "casino nights" that...

Re: 15/30 slightly deep w/ bottom set

I am assuming he has T8 or T9, only getting 2 to 1, would he really not have a T or 5 here or higher set 1 out of 3 times?

I would fold, since if he has a T it costs you 70+ BB's and if he doesnt,...

Re: 10-20 @ bellagio. Tricky spot with AA fairly deep

[ QUOTE ]
On the turn, do we really expect any set to check in front of us, especially since we only flat-called the flop bet?

There are so many draws out there, checking with a set here seems...

Re: NL$600 - TPGK. I hate my line, how would you play?

Big Draw? There is no combo draw out there and he doesnt have a K w/ a flush draw since the K hearts is out. Could have a mid pair like 88-TT, hell he could have K4o.

If he has a set and he is...

Re: TPGK facing small c/r from strong player

I'd probably fold preflop.

As played, he probably has at least a draw and more likely a pair + draw minimum, then 2pair or a set, testing you to see where he is at. 2 high cards on the flop and...

Re: Maybe interesting spot 200x deep with AK

[ QUOTE ]
I feel like checkraising the turn here is pretty bad, in that he'll probably always call with better hands, and probably always fold worse ones. And the last thing I want to do with stacks...

Re: Maybe interesting spot 200x deep with AK

If he is as aggressive as you say he will most likely bet the turn, so i like check-calling the flop, let him put some more money in on the turn and check-raise him there. You said he probably sees...

Re: 5/10 Live at the Taj: Middle Set Deep

I dont think he would raise to 450 on the flop w/ a made straight, seems more than likely that would drive everyone out and no reason to do that.

Your flat call there probably shows a big hand...

Re: Trips OOP on scary board: $10/$20

I fold.

He is a tight player so he either has a decent pair or 2 high cards preflop, if he had mid-suited conncetors he would have folded the flop, along w/ 77-99.

He either has you crushed now...

Re: bellagio 50/100 live vs Jamie Gold

(1) I really wish i had 25k to sit in this game, because 10 hours later i would have $125k.

(2) Hands he could have: AA (min raise UTG, just like in .10/.25 party), KQ-KT, maybe K9s, or some other...

I would smooth call the his reraise. If you reraise him again allin he may fold (with hands you have beat), however, if you call he is so aggressive he may fire big (maybe even allin) on the river...

Re: Turn semibluff crai

Yeah, your right, i wrote that based on what i thought his thought process might be, as in "if this guy had a 9, wouldnt he want to get more value out of it" leading him to call more often.

It would not surprise me to see that he had 4c5c and just overbetting to fake weakness. It could also be TT or JJ. Checking the flop, betting the turn and checking the river looks like how someone...
