Re: MORE EV HELP PLEASE

You have 15 outs against JJ... 3 aces or 3 kings give you a bigger pair, plus 9 clubs for a flush. 15 outs with 2 cards to come is approx 54% equity on the flop.

The way to determine your equity...

Re: Simple Basic Newbie Question......

I agree that the hand is drawing dead, the only way that it could win would be to catch the remaining 5's/7's.. but how would you count the outs?

Re: 50NL: Implied odds/hand reading: Call flop?

I'd be more apt to call if it were an EP bet, there were a few callers and I was closing the action... here you only have 3 nut outs (close to 15 to 1) and the flop bettor is short stacked, so...

Re: Card Player Magazine

I've had it for the past year but don't really feel it's worth renewing. I prefer cash games and it seems heavily geared toward tournament players.

Re: Bodog freezing?

I don't use Dogwatch and I've been using the new Bodog software for a few weeks... I've had several instances where
the client has froze up while trying to take notes on a player.

Re: NL10: Cbet QQ facing A on turn

Re: 10NL QQ felt lost

You got > 10% of your stack in PF, then 1/3 in on a coordinated flop... turn is a safe card, you have to bet there and might as well shove.

Re: 50NL: JJ c-bet A-high board, turn set facing river shove

Always call in this spot.

[/ QUOTE ]

Curious as to why you wouldn't get the last $10 in? Do you feel hero will only ever get called when he's beat?

Re: 50NL: JJ c-bet A-high board, turn set facing river shove

I couldn't fold here and calling leaves ~$10 behind so I'm just getting it in. I'd put villain on missed spade draw, two pair, smaller set... he'll fold the spades but will call with the other hands.
