not saying its likely, but in defense of my illness theory, someone with cancer or another illness could certainly see getting treatment as a positive step in their lives, especially if they haven't...

He is new to the table, so he hasn't been involved much. But the table has seen alot of "raise, reraise, fold" preflop. it just seemed to me like he was trying to buy the pot with a draw
