Re: AA on KJ8 board, 5/10

Fold. Against a strong flush draw you are not really ahead, and you cannot improve because you have the Ace of clubs. Against a set, you have a big problem and are way behind.

He could have a...

Re: 3d8d in the Big Blind

I mean if he calls over 78% of the time the shove is wrong. If he folds over 22% the shove is correct.

How do you guys estimate if a person calls this percentage? Do you guys really think this is...

Re: 3d8d in the Big Blind

Thank you, that's exactly what I did. I checked, and called his 180 bet (didn't like to call $180 this behind because he might fold if i hit the flush. He will pay me if i hit the 8 or 3).

It's a...

3d8d in the Big Blind

I am in a pretty crazy NL game and the preflop standards of most players are extremely wide.

My stack is 600 and I am in the big blind with 3d8d.

UTG raises to 25, and the COMPLETE table...

Re: 3barrel bluff vs ex noose, Party2550

I don't like the river push. He probably can guess your hand and will call ahead and fold behind.

Re: Big river decision vs MYNMSGREG (3/6)

You really have to raise this. He almost never has a 9 or 2, and he is not value betting anything. The raise has several reasons. He probably has a missed hand and thinks this is a good spot to bluff...

Re: 20/40 Commerce - Playing Defense... with the 2nd nuts.

Mathematically I would say that a higher straight is in his range, but a push will get called often enough to be profitable and covers the loss if you are ( /images/graemlins/frown.gif )against a...

Re: Tough Aces Spot

[ QUOTE ]
First off RR pf to $600+. Secondly, the problem with a b/f turn is that I think villain rarely raises turn. And a c/c makes for a very very difficult river decision. I don't hate a c/f...

Re: 1knl - 58s button, 3 bet on turn

Why do you post this? Did you lose to T7 and want the confirmation that you should shove this hand? Why on earth post this hand?!??!? Easy fold va T8 and push against all other hands that are strong...

Re: Defending my blind

This looks ok to me. You could raise the flop to find out where you are, when you didn't do that; calling the turn looks ok. Don't raise the turn. But this play is highly read dependant...

Re: 5/10 Commerce AA spots sorta boring

In spot 1 I wouldn't get very far. Check/folding might even be correct.

In spot 2 pushing would probably be right with 24 bets in already.

Re: 100/200 Hand...Hypothetical River Situation

Ok , i think you have to call the river. He doesn't think you are this strong and could be doing this with a wide range, folding here is probably correct but not in the long run.

He wouldn't check...

Re: I know they are midstakes but... you guys are smarter?

I saw the last hand with 44, that was really bad. At some point you have to give the villain credit for a hand. You don't respect his 4-bet preflop? Usually I take that to mean AA or...

Re: AA: yummy... now let me puke ($2/$4)

I think the flop bet is pretty bad, because I don't think a 63/31 is folding so much as a gutshot in a pot this size.

However, as played, is this guy really going to c/r with an...
