Re: Over-betting Aces a good or bad idea?

Yesterday I was playing in a tourney on Stars and in the first level (10/20) I over-bet Aces by accident. I meant to do a standard 3x open raise but I must've hit the 7 with the 6 so my raise ended...

Re: The Worst Strategy You\'ve Overheard at a Table

I once over heard a guy saying that 89 suited was 50/50 vs Aces. I questioned him on it and he stuck to his guns saying that it was 50/50 and he always cracks Aces with 89 suited. Then other...

Re: Re-run the flop? You make the call

[ QUOTE ]
I still don't understand.
Two players all in.
A third player never calls the last bet. He still has his cards.
The dealer starts to burn and flop.

Re: Re-run the flop? You make the call

This is why I would rule the hand dead. The player that hasn't called yet has plenty of chances to say "hey, stop what you are doing, I haven't acted yet."

Re-run the flop? You make the call

I was in a cash game hand yesterday at a B&M cardroom in southern california. It was a 2/3 100 buy-in NLHE game. Everyone limps in for 3 and the small blind makes it 6. Everyone calls the 3 up to...

Re: FTP 10+1 MTT Final Table

[ QUOTE ]
I push here. You can't raise a normal 3bet amount without commiting your whole stack. Folding is way too weak. Calling might entice someone behind you to come into the pot and/or raise...

Re: Fold Equity (Request for Definition and Examples)

Semi-bluffs might be the easiest example to see the fold equity concept. Say you've got the nut flush draw plus a gut-shot straight after the flop. With a big combo draw like this you're...

You like The Bike over Hustler? I found the Bike to be a little grimy. What is about the Bike that you like over Hustler? How are the games and vibe at HP and Crystal?

Re: Jerry Yang on Online Poker

Wow that blurb was pretty ridiculous. A) Showing a card isn't cheating. B) WSOP wasn't at Binion's.

Re: is it better to fold pre-flop in an easy game w/ jacks?

Why would you even for a second think about folding Jacks here? It's the $40 max buy-in game at the commerce. I'd probably even go all-in.

Re: Correct call or not?

I'm shoving all-in pf with the given situation. On the flop though I can't see checking then calling a bet that's 25% of your stack. You really need to have it at all-in pf on the flop or be done...
