Re: 1/2 Two hands

Hand 1 is pretty screwed up, converter wise, and probably game-wise as well. I cannot think of any holding where this would make sense.

Hand 2, I think, is just horrible.
How can he be bad and...

I wonder what you put him on - flushdraw or weak A?

As other posters said, if he has anything like Ax or...

Re: Weird spot w/ A K. Party NL400 6m

I agree with Hatt - this may be interesting to discuss.

A lot of people will 3-bet AK preflop from any position because they feel "it has to be done", but then put themselves in nasty spots on the...

Re: Weird spot w/ A K. Party NL400 6m

Why is this spot so weird? Because of the K-high flushdraw?

Your AK missed, the board is pretty ugly, and your Cbet failed. I would be very inclined to give up...
Hattinfat mentioned folding to a...

Re: I 3bet, check behind flop , did I induce bluff?

I really dont understand the pf reraise followed by a check-behind on the flop.

Somebody care to enlighten me?

It is prime pickings for me and a select few others.

The last thing I would want to do in a game where the above is true, is change anything that may upset these people?

Re: NL400 fold set to river push?

I would bet the full pot on the flop because you're up against 2 players and there's plenty of draws possible. Though I suppose it doesn't make a difference, really.

I'd lead the river as well....

Re: nl400 6m: passive AK TPTK hand

...I'm curious as to -
What do you put him on?
What was your plan for the river when you called the turn bet? (I agree with others who like a raise on the turn).
What made you fold the river? Just...

Re: Led into on turn

Hard to say something useful about this.
I expect someone taking this line will surely have TPGK beat, you gathered that much yourself.

Re: 5 10 getting mini reraised in multiway preflop

I'd prefer to just call here really, getting to see the flop and have this minraising idiot act before us.

Re: Facing mini check raise 5 10

What kind of hands do you expect a solid player to limp/call with PF when UTG?

Any playable hand with a K in it, or 99, would probably have raised (assuming 6-max), no?

And wouldn't a set/Top...

Re: bottom set , weird turn donkbet

Preflop, with 77 and only 1 limper to you, I would raise this.

On the flop, you need to raise quite a bit more. Looking at stacks, I would raise a LOT more. This raise is not going to get rid of...

Re: standard gay spot

A call would be pretty bad I think - it doesn't let us know anything more about villain's hand.
And even in the best case scenario (rag on the turn), would you want to lead into a $280 pot, still...

I understand that folding seems weak ... But seriously, decisions on later streets are only going to get more and more complicated.
You'll be playing a top pair hand with a so-so kicker, little...

$4/$8 checkraising with TPTK on flop

$4/$8, just back from lunch. Haven't played a hand yet - 2nd orbit or so. I got ~$800 and villains cover.

I get A/images/graemlins/club.gifK/images/graemlins/diamond.gif in the SB.

1 fold, CO...

Re: a really tough and interesting hand

I also wonder about the flatcall of the UTG raise... You mention he's aggro and plays a ton of hands. Isn't that an argument for reraising PF ?

Re: $4/$8 - Should I protect this set?

Thanks Jim - I was thinking amongst those lines, raised to $257 and took it down.

Then I wondered "hmm perhaps I should've gotten more out of this", hence I posted.

(edit, corrected raise amt.)

$4/$8 game, 5-handed.

I raise to $24, both blinds call.

Call and re-eval turn? fold to another large bet?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think this is a good idea. I can't think of a card that could hit the turn that wouldn't make me check/fold.

Re: Did I lose value here?

I think betting the 1/3 pot on the turn is really bad. You're pricing in the possible draws. Though a draw would be my last worry here - what would have raised with UTG?...

Re: 5/10- KK on ugly flop

Like I said, the call is obv a no-brainer. I was more interested in hearing comments on the preflop play and initial flop bet.

Who bets here after he checks?

Not me. I don't see Ax (with x not being a Q ofcourse) call you, so I doubt there's value in a bet here.
