Yeah, not a bad idea. I also forgot about stability issues since it's been awhile...but most sorting algorithms are pretty stable.

Fastest is a little vague, since you can consider worst case, avg case, etc (sometimes they are the same). Different sorting algorithms also have differing memory requirements, O(1), O(log n), etc. ...
