Re: uNL 1 year report card

a. A little bit too much, but not very annoying.
b. A lot of bad advice, but there are posters that correct those. So you have to take things with a grain of salt sometimes.
c. Not too much/little...

[ QUOTE ]
What about betting $4.56? I did it for attitude control (just got bad beat and thought this would be funny- maybe just to me). Funny thing is that the dude called without raising in his...

Re: 25NL AK hand 300bb deep

To the players that say "check behind turn" - I bet the turn for value against this player.
Not betting there is losing too much value IMO, and a little bit results oriented.

Re: Would love math forumla help.

R = C(1.5-S+D)

Edit: Kerowo's formula is not usable since the R occurs in both sides of his equation.
S = D - R/RC + 1.5
S = D - (1/C)R + 1.5
S - D - 1.5 = -(1/C)R
(1/C)(-S+D+1.5) = R

Re: 50nl - AJ flops TP getting donked pot into

I think a raise only folds out better hands, and if we have to fold to a shove that would be frustrating.
A fold is very weak.

So, I think a call is in order. If he bets pot again, I'll fold.

Re: TAG or LAG

I don't really think this question is important. It's a scale
NIT - TAG - LAG.

One can be a nittish TAG or a slightly loose TAG...
But if you really have to categorise them, I would use what...

Re: AA vs TAG

To the people saying "bet turn"-

I don't really have to protect my hand here. Isn't letting Villain bluff on the river not worth more than extracting on the turn from hands of which I'll get only...

AA vs TAG

Stack sizes:
SB $15.70
BB $12.25
Villain $29.40
Hero $37.30

Stats on Villain: 20/10/5, a not very good but probably winning player, too weak for my tastes.

I get...

Re: couple of v.basic hands, sanity check

First hand is fine IMO. In the second hand reraising is fine, but please fold to his 4-bet.

Re: **Official uNL Microbrew thread: August PT 2**

Probably a noobish question.

Should one out of position be more or less inclined to 3-bet a medium-strength hand like 99?
And if one decides to 3-bet, should the amount be bigger in position or...

25NL: 99 overpair versus 2p2\'er deep, spew?

I am fairly sure this hand was against a two-plus-two'er. His screenname on Everest was the same as his screenname on 2+2.

His stats were 15/13/10 over about 100 hands.

Re: NL50 is there any worse flop for AA?

*grunch* (didn't look at other replies)
I like your play. I don't see any value in betting the river.

Re: AJ against PF raiser, flatcall or fold?

Yes, I fold AJ against a TAG preflop raiser. I don't see any value in calling. I rather play 78s or something like that. If you want to play it, I'd 3-bet it.

Re: The Good Old C-bet

IME Villains are more likely to fold to a c-bet when an ace flops, "OMG he raised preflop so he has AK!", and more likely to play back at you when three low cards flop.

Edit: regarding bet sizing,...

Re: $50nl Suited Conns UTG

Raising UTG with SCs is fine.
Calling the 3bet is bad absent reads.
Calling the 3bet then falling in love with TP is horrible.

Re: NL25 NFD against heavy action from two others

Fold. You are not closing the action, and it will probably be all-in on the flop where at least one of them has a set. Not very profitable.
