OP,

If there is anyway you can squeeze into Le Bernardin while you are here you should try to do so. While I am now a vegetarian, while I was still an omnivore I always thought that Le Bernardin...

Re: Help Me Select A Watch for MY 40th B-Day

I ended up choosing the blue and my wife gave it to me at midnight this morning for my 40th Birthday. I absolutely love it. Will post pics later.

Re: Books: What are you reading tonight?

I am finishing up the last hundred pages of Haruki Murakami's "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle". I really enjoy it but very strange. Sort of like reading a David Lynch movie.

Help Me Select A Watch for MY 40th B-Day

So, my wife has wanted to buy me a nice watch for our wedding for 2 1/2 years now (we were married in 2005). However, I have been unable to make a selection due to my general indecisiveness.

Now...

Re: Manhattan real estate

Trying to forecast the NYC real estate market accurately is hopeless. Good luck.

That said, now more than ever you should be a little concerned about just how prices have gone, especially in...

Re: Manhattan real estate

[ QUOTE ]
For probably 20 years people have said something to the effect of "NYC real estate is in a bubble." However, as anyone who reads the prices in the OP can tell, it's just kept going up. ...

Re: Your top 5 Bergman and Antonioni films

My friend and fellow cinephile e-mailed me that "cinema was dead" in response to the twin losses of Bergman and Antonioni. Certainly an overstatement in that they were no longer really producing new...

Re: i keep changing my plan

Against an unknown, just calling down (assuming you don't improve) after getting three-bet on the flop seems perfectly reasonable to me.

seems like an easy value check on the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree with this. Against a LAG you probably have to call down, but paying two more bets to see the river here will really...

Re: 3/6 Standard Hand - Anyone do anything different?

Yeah, that was the worst card in the deck for you. Easy fold.

Re: Great (and not-so great) finds at Whole Foods

Here's a Whole Foods good/bad food: Ed's Tantalizing Tofu (in the prepared food section).

Good in that it is super yummy. Bad in that it is a calorie and fat content nightmare.

Re: Betting AK for value

Unless CO is very tricky I bet-fold the river although it is thin with the 4 str8 out there.

If you check CO is almost never betting a hand that you beat. He won't try to bluff two...

Re: 3/6 AQ nothing hits, fold the river unimproved ?

The only reasonable hands that you are beating are AT and KT, the number of combos of which are far outnumbered by the many hands that beat you.

Fold always.
