Re: Pooh-Bah Post: Table Selection and Regulars (Why Im not at ur tables)

Good post. I really wish I made more of an effort to table select sometimes. When tables start to break and it becomes me and like 2 solid regs or heads up, I just hate to stand up. I don't really...

Re: 400nl TT reraised pot

Tough spot. He knows you don't have a set or flush as you would have pushed flop with FD and either pushed flop or turn with set yes? He basically knows you have 99-QQ the majority of the time...

Re: 77 OESD vs idiot

I would call and shove a 3,7,8 river and c/f any other river. I think it's clear that this type of player will just about always have you beat and you're drawing to 10 outs. He will also always pay...

Good for him. His post is quite good and I would do the same in his position.

You've represented a busted flush, why are you folding this river?

Re: multitable winrates

First, I doubt many people have significant samples at the same limits playing different number of tables.

Second, you can't just look at winrate like that, you also have to consider how much...

Re: OT: Poker Reality TV Show Proposal

This seems like an awful hard show to sell.

To do this you'd need a good mix of players.

1. Arrogant players (almost all 2+2'ers, easy to find)
2. Bad players for group 1 to make fun of...

Re: Official November Thread: General Discussion

So I think I have wrist tendinitis in my mousing hand. I currently use a vertical mouse, and while it helps, the problem still exists. I assume some others here have this problem and I'm wondering...

Re: Ask Cancuk about backpacking/independant travel.

Got a few questions for ya:

1) The first time you left w/o your mother did you go alone?

2) Do you leave with a guideline of where you're going to go and when, or did you buy a ticket to a...

Re: SSNL POKER [cheese] thread July - Part 1

[ QUOTE ]

Speaking of $$/day vs $$/hour, I've said before and always will say, that $$/day is the BEST metric for winrate. If I could make $1k/hour but only play 2 hours a week, I'm no better off...

Re: Jacks in a really tough spot.

I often play at about 17/14. However, I can promise you I'd be very happy if everyone folded JJ to my 3bets. At 17/14 you can find players that do indeed only 3bet qq+/ak, or players that 3bet 77+,...

I'll probably lose this...

In order to determine if contributing to society is important to us, we must first establish if society can infact be made "better", yes? What contributions can one make to better this world?

Re: Beat: intelligence

Next time they have to make some kind of provisions to make sure people that actually contribute rake get the hand. At least make it so micros aren't able to get it.

Re: HS/College or new grads: How big is poker among young people?

Re: OOP in RR pots with Marginal Over Pairs

Re: can you spot leaks ? (stats)

21/10 is not an omptimal VPIP/PFR. Stop limping, 3bet more if you're comfortable with it. Your WTSD% and W$WSF% are both pretty low, you're probably getting pushed off the best hand too often.
