Re: 25/50 tp+nfd

was hoping for more general advice, especially position oriented, but if that's not available...

hero makes it 200 on the button with AdTd
bb calls 150
flop: [2d4dAc]
bb bets 250, hero raises...

25/50 tp+nfd

Heads up, effective stacks =~ 10k, very aggresive match with plenty of 3 bet bluffs. We've both been lag and villain has been calling big river bets pretty thin, though not worse than top pair. I...

Re: Going out of Business -Database Sale

anybody else have a pokertracker db for sale? it's for academic research in risk theory and volatility pricing. so any site, any game, any stakes (the higher the better though since the players...

Re: turned flush, raise this river?

he never checkraised. he called flop and turn bets, then led a 2/3 pot bet into the river.

Re: turned flush, raise this river?

2 important reads here:

1. wouldn't ideal line with an A or K high flush be to raise this turn since hero leads flop & turn?
2. villain is good, so 120 to me, seems like a blocking bet to prevent...

Re: trip 8\'s

with these stack sizes and drawless board, trapping looks fine if you think villain will bet turn. 3 betting would be better had you potted.

Re: Lirarerik

he once pwned me at 10/20 hu on stars. i remember him bestowing this quote, "i'm the best player in the world, but not the richest."

Re: 10/20 pound: KK line check

i like coldcall on 1st hand. i like it more on 2nd hand. but only if you are willing to play poker. coldcalling is bad if you want a template.

Re: home game out of order KK

because they had forgotten i was in the hand and it wasn't exactly the most laid back of games, so if they flipped their cards and i wanted in the pot (which i still had a right to), there would have...

Re: home game out of order KK

they ARE out of line and AQ or 99 are DEFINITELY in their range.

Re: home game out of order KK

the problem is that they both acted out of order. once i bet, both wanted their money out. i definitely wanted in, but didn't know how to navigate the situation verbally.

home game out of order KK

5/10 6 handed home game, all players are fairly aggressive. hero has 850 and has been the tightest of the 6 players. both villains are lag and cover. we're all a little drunk.

Hero calls utg...

Re: 10-20 NL - AceKing in a big pot

folding this flop might be too tight, but it's better than your weak/scared line. maybe raise flop to find out if you're behind for cheaper than you did by coldcalling turn raise only to check/fold...

Re: 10/20 Bet Sizes and Finesse

i hate the river bet because if you're willing to put in $1k (and obviously price yourself in for the rest) on the river after you missed the fd, why not put in more on the turn and price him in for...

Re: 10/20 hu steaming river call?

i guess i asked the question wrong, but this type of criticism is more of what i was looking for. thx durrrr. at least i know that my play was "less" flawed than it would have been with 10 players.

Re: 10/20 hu steaming river call?

Hero calls $1731 and wins $4902. villain had A3.

but i was really looking for more opinions from hu specialists. is this an appropriate move to make given the game texture or should i have...

Re: How much to bet here?

agreed you need a bigger raise on the turn. if he calls, push river. as played, pot.
