Re: T9s trips river fold

This hurts my eyes. Folding this river seems extremely bad in a 6BB pot let alone a 15BB one. You have 50 hands on this guy, this is a really small sample of hands to judge someones play let alone...

Re: Raise or Call?

Whatever, a river fold here may be -EV, but its not by much. You have raised UTG pf and fired the entire time and he donks the river club and ace. There are plenty of guys who will do wierd donks...

Re: Raise or Call?

Never raise. I think raising this pot is really bad. I think folding is probably good a lot of the time, but I would call since you have absolutely no read. It's probably close enough to neutral...

Re: Is this a good line?

I think Ax and 33-55 are played well. TBH I auto bet any hand in his spot 4 way alot of the time, although maybe I shouldn't?

Re: River decision oop vs donks

I dunno, I already saw the results, but I was still thinking that this might be worth a call. IF these guys are really laggy, the guy who checks for sure has nothing, the other guy doesn't have an...

Re: my steal gets 3bet by suspected TAG

I make this flop peel with the spade, without it I would fold the flop on this board. Otherwise I play the rest the same.

Re: party 10/20. Elindauer value/bluff river raise

What about waiting for the turn in hand 1? We have position with a pretty good hand, if he's a LAG, there is a high probability that he'll lead the turn as well. A 5,6, T, or J may freze up villian,...

Re: I hate flop 3-bets

What about calling the flop bet and raising the turn? Do we have too much equity on our flop raise to pass it up in favor of a turn? Are there too many cards that will freeze up a donk better on...

Re: 10/20 75o from the small blind

[ QUOTE ]
This isnt a semi bluff because he never folds a better hand. Its fine IMO if you have a read that he calls down with A high a lot, but usually I just c/c turn and river until I have a...

10/20 75o from the small blind

No super strong reads at the time, villian seemed to be aggressive, but not sure of the magnitude.

This might be a little light to steal with here, but lets not focus on that part of it.

My...

Re: 3 barrels

[ QUOTE ]
But playing it aggressive has the downside that we put more money in when behind and we will get looked up frequently by weak ends especially if youre known for playing draws agressive. Of...

Re: AA WTF!?

The loose passive probably has you beat a bunch here, but I can't imagine how the 5 helped him improve? He could be doing something really weird with a K to try and block a free card. I probably...

5/10 - In the middle w/ 77s

The story: Button is 30/18/1.4 over about 300. I don't think he likes me much. I probably look pretty laggy, I've been getting a lot of big hands preflot, and been stealing a lot. I've been...

Re: 5/10 TT 3rd pair on turn

[ QUOTE ]
me too, what's your plan if he calls and the river bricks off?

I think I'm checking behind here. I can't imagine a lot of hands that villian gets to the river by...

5/10 TT 3rd pair on turn

Villain is a TAG, no specific reads, hasn't gotten out of line. I was probably looking aggressive at this point, I had a lot of decent hands that weren't hitting, or were in bad spots, so I wasn't...

Re: fire last barrel?

I think it is a good spot for this, there are a number of K high hands that you might get a fold out of that currently beat you. Also, you cannot profitably check-call the river. His range may...

Re: Bad Turn Bluff Raise?

[ QUOTE ]
Not a bluff, and I'm not a fan. Your preflop and flop play look exactly like a queen and he raises you anyway so he'll usually have it. If he doesn't he has a pair which will be like "oh...

Bad Turn Bluff Raise?

Villian seems like a decent TAG. 22/18/2 type numbers. After the flop iso, I was preparing to fold to further turn aggression. However, I thought the Q gave me the perfect card to bluff 3-bet since...

Re: I call down

Without a read, I will typically call this down, at least the first time. There are enough draws on this flop for hero to c/r. Hearts, stuff like 45, 78, etc. Most of the draws would be beating you...

Re: Standard A hi?

I like this. Sometimes I 3bet and lead the flop, sometimes I call and check-raise almost any flop. With these middle aces I'm not sure it matters much against most opponents which line you take....

Re: Worst turn card in the deck, give up?

I think you need to bet fold this turn. I think check-folding the turn is bad, even if the guy has an aggression factor of 0.8. Basing this decision on a read like that seems bad to me. Even if...

Re: Due for a content thread i guess? (blindaments)

If the board is really dry and I picked up a gutter, I will often check, especially since I often have 6 outs.

I think I would play it the same here. While the board isn't necessarily super dry,...

I don't like this plan. The other two in the pot will likely fold even when you call, and if they have...
