Re: Non Instructional Books

Big Deal and the more current Bigger Deal by Tony Holden are both very good.

Re: Bryce/Benyamine 1/2 HU.

Why does Finddagrind just call the river with the nuts? Did he want to see hoss's hand?

Re: 25 - low set...fold this river?

I'm definitely calling this. The stats are over a small sample, ok to say he is fairly tight preflop, but nothing to tell you about his postflop game. AF needs many more hands to be meaningful.
I...

Re: 30NL - 6 max - 3rd barrel?

I'd be giving this up on the turn.

Well, actually I'd be giving it up preflop. You say you play a tight game, then you open UTG with QJo? This isnt a nice hand to play out of position, you really...

Re: NL10, flopped nuts, ugly river

Welcome.

By the way, if you want responses from players regularly playing 9 handed cash games, then head over to the full-ring forum, here we are generally playing 6max.

Its an easy river fold...

Re: 10NL: AA on draw heavy board. Push the turn?

I pushed. Oops.

My standard c-bet is 2/3 to 3/4 a pot. I dont see a need to change this. 0.5 would probably have been better here, but its the turn decision that matters.

10NL: AA on draw heavy board. Push the turn?

Re: play aces differently here?

Dont overbet the pot, ever? Thats some seriously bad advice IMO. A good value bet is where you bet as much as your opponent is likely to call with the worst hand. If they want to call an oversized...

Re: 1010 in raised pot flop 444?

I still like a flop shove. If villain has a smaller boat its very unlikely he'll let it go. If a scare card falls on the turn we may no longer get his whole stack.

Re: 1010 in raised pot flop 444?

Villains range is something like 66-QQ I think. Possibly more pocket pairs as well but I doubt very much its 22-55 or AK etc. I shove here expecting to see pocket nines or something.

10NL - small pair with gutshot
