Re: Would you consider laying this down?

[ QUOTE ]
Assuming all parties get the money in here, against AQ AND 2pr/lower set the equity for KK here is like 25-26%. But that's quite the parlay to convince yourself to fold.

Re: NL 50- Overpair in BVB battle

The stats Villain has generated so far aren't so aggressive, but that river card is both a genuine scare card and also the kind of card that many, many players love to bluff (and bluff-raise).

I'm...

Re: Turboturd Turn Card

Aggravating spot. If we could trust your opponents to read your hand as the strong one you've been representing and one that you don't plan to bet-fold, then I think we could bet-fold with...

Re: NL25 JJ line check

The flop and turn look good to me. I'm not sure what's best on the river. But I'm pretty sure I would check too. Our unknown Villain could be one of those players who is in love with the...

That river card sure does suck, but your play in the hand seems fine to me.

Re: 50NL TT on the 8-high board against AI and cold-call

CO's cold-call of BB's raise is worrisome in theory, but given his stats and your read, I think it's time to push.

BB's raise is in itself a concern, but he's a short-stack, and who knows what the...

Re: 10NL Overpair vs 2 players with action on flop

UTG's trappy flop line does look a lot like a set, but you're getting better than 2:1 at this point with a strong overpair, so I'd be going all-in.

I would be expecting to lose, though.

Re: Too Aggressive w/OESD?

It seems all right. You could be best on the flop (the 10-cent bet and the calls of the bet hardly tell us anything), and if you're not, well, it's possible the big raise will at least will clean up...

pf is ok I guess. check the flop so you don't get into this spot

FWIW, the pot got large enough preflop that you can easily play for stacks with three postflop...

Re: I fold trips on the river

Well, you were probably beat.

I'm not sure about the river checkraise. I mean, if Villain has an ace it's probably better than yours, and if he doesn't, then, well, you're counting on him to...

Re: 50nl 337bb Deep

It would be useful to know in what ways CO sucks and how Button has been playing against him. Has Button been 3-betting him light, as far as you know?

I hate hands like this one, because after...

Re: $10NL 6max - Top pair middle kicker facing flop bet - Action?

The calldown seems reasonable. Villain isn't putting a lot of pressure on you; probably he's either milking a better king or has something like ATo and just keeps hoping you'll fold.

Why not just bet $20-25 on the flop instead of over betting your entire stack? [I am thinking there is $30 in the pot on the flop]

It would be my default play, and if the table views you as LAG like you suggest, then it seems that that would just strengthen the play (since...

Re: TPGK c/min raise and further street pressure

If you lost, then this is one of those irritating hands where Villain took a trappy line and it worked. But I don't see a fold anywhere.

But if Villain had just checkraised the flop to $3 or $4,...

Re: Trips Facing Possible Flush/Straight

I would call the river. Villain's pair + draw, for instance, might have rivered two pair, and for that matter, he could just have A6 or something. Who knows what a shorty is ever up to? And this...

Re: 25 NL... top 2 facing river shove

Villain's play sure is consistent with QJ, so that river raise puts you in an aggravating spot. (Also, hands like A7 and 87 can't be ruled out.)

I call, I guess, hoping for T8 or A8 or KJ or...

Re: Couple of Spots against Bad Lag/Maniac

Interestingly, since you folded hands 2 and 4 and Villain mostly just called in hands 1 and 3, we can't really see how much of a maniac he is.

Hand 2: I know your hand is ahead of Villain's...

Re: Jq from bb - 25nl

I'm not sure how to interpret the Button open-limp from this tight player, but when Villain calls the flop, I'm thinking PP, Jx, or a distrustful ace-high. There is some chance too that Villain has...

I agree with willyc that a bet basically commits you because of the stack sizes (and also because even otherwise passive players sometimes becomes erratic once they're super-near the felt), but I...

Re: KK c/c till river

I think it's worth a bet. If Villain just has a busted flush draw, he'll probably fold it, but he might call with Tx, QsXs, a worse PP, or 6sXs. He also might fold some pairs (especially the weak...
