Re: Red Nines

Basically, here is my question:

Right now, I am at FTP. I play limit (6-max). My VPIP/PFR is about 28/18.

With those stats and a 27% rakeback, I get approx. $17.50/1000 hands at the 1/2 level...

Red Nines

Is anyone using Red Nines 60% successfully. Is it really double what you would get at Full Tilt?

Rakeback question for math nuts.

Assume the following:

1) exact same rake structure at both sites
2) site A pays 30% rakeback and uses the "player contribution" method
3) site B pays 27% rakeback and uses the "dealt cards"...

Absolute or Full Tilt

Does anyone know which will make for more money?

Full Tilt is 27% rakeback and they use the hands dealt method.

Absolute is 30% rakeback and they use the contribution method.

Looks like...

bankroll question

assume that i am a marginally winning player at the 1/2 level in LIMIT O8 and that i am multi-tabling full ring games...

what is the recommended bankroll for this. i have heard that it is around...

Re: 4/180 remember \"dark tunnel\" from HOH?

i would check preflop rather than building a big pot with AQ OOP at level one. if you do decide to raise, you have to go bigger, imo, to nullify the fact that you are OOP... so, with two limpers......

Re: ($12) Screwing up with JJ. Line check

i like the pre-flop line

the flop was a good one for you, i think. after he checks the flop, now you need to bet for info as above poster said. 250 seems about right too. as is, there is no...

Re: [$55) JJ - Getting checkraised with an Overpair

I was going to suggest a bigger pre-flop raise because of the limper.. maybe 4-5x so as not to give good odds to others. but you already mentioned that.

I would push all in over his raise. If...

Re: 1.20$ Pokerstars: Nice set on the bubble - right play?

this is a very interesting problem to me. do you guys mind if i post it (just the hand details, not the names) in another forum that i belong to, to get more thoughts on it?

i don't know the...

Re: 1.20$ Pokerstars: Nice set on the bubble - right play?

i completely agree with greggg's point #1. the flop bet was way too little.

however, i disagree with him on point #2. i would just call the raise. 300 more to see if you hit the boat or quads. ...

Re: [$33] Middle Set am Flop - Dangerous Board + Action

i was thinking the same thing that gregg wrote, exactly.

but my question is... after 3 folds pre-flop, why are you not raising with your TT? i am just wondering.. would most people advocate...

Re: 6 Turbo SNG, FTP, playing a two big draws early vs a big pair

on second thought, i just looked it up on the card stats thingy.

turns out that even if villian has a set, you are still only a 2 to 1 dog to win the hand. that means that pushing all in is ...

Re: 6 Turbo SNG, FTP, playing a two big draws early vs a big pair

this is an interesting hand. it all depends on the range you put villian on.

calling pre-flop is marginal, but it isn't outright wrong.

when you flop a nut flush draw, a gut draw and an over...

Re: $114 - AQ from BB hits AAx flop

you may be right, ATM about the range you put him on.
is so, then 48% is enough to call with.

question: what range does hero have exactly 39.4% win-rate vs.?

also, are ATo, AJo, A9s, ATs...

Re: 6.50 fold this ak?

Turns out you had a nice laydown. Good job.

One thought for you, and one of the posters above touched on it. A raise of 3x is good when opening the betting, but after a limper, 4-5x is better....

Re: $114 - AQ from BB hits AAx flop

I think his line is reasonable with a holding of AK. However it also reasonable with AQ and possibly even AJs.

The only other guess would be that he was betting mid pocket pair like TT or 99. ...
