Re: medals earned in FTP iron man plus promo

Clueless newbie question: Do you have to clear X points for Y consecutive days, or any Y days during the month?

Re: Orange County Home Games

I know of three states with an Orange County off the top of my head. How far are you willing to travel? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Noob Question

Don't let players rebuy out of someone else's stack unless the "seller" leaves the money on the table (available for play). Otherwise the seller is ratholing, a complete violation of the table...

Re: Wacky Home Game Rules?

So, is a rabbit hunt where you ask the dealer to run the board out after everyone has folded to a bet/raise?

Re: what\'s the rule for getting up from the table

I love how attorneys like to think of themselves as "reasonable". *:^)

Re: Poker Stat software

I just started experimenting with Mac Poker Pro and find that it stops collecting data when I change tables in an MTT. Anybody have experience with this issue?

Re: Be honest: How often did you go broke ?

Never. Of course, I've never played real money online, does that count?

Home games are a little different, as the money tends to come out of a wallet and not an account. I've never been down...

Re: Should I move up or play 6max?

[ QUOTE ]
I've recently actually come the the revelation that I play much better without a HUD and I don't review hands very much, so I basically use PT for record keeping.

Can you...

Re: Badly Played?

[ QUOTE ]
Quick example, let's say the pot is $100, and there's two players to the flop. You're holding Ah 10s. The flop comes down Ac 9c 2d. You opponent checks to you. You figure him to be...

Re: Hi all, i am new and i have few questions.

I wouldn't spend any time at tilteddonkey.com: The first hand of their tutorial awarded my nut flush the pot — against a full house.

I award them a KITN.

Re: Question 43

Oh, I already took the test, I just don't have my stuff in front of me (printed it out). The discussion is more valuable than the test itself, anyway.

Re: Guy brings $10k to 5c/10c Party poker

Maybe he was playing vastly lower stakes while tinkering w/ his tracking, HUD or macro software, but bought in for his usual amt out of habit/reflex.

Re: Frustrated with tournaments

Read Harrington on Hold 'em, particularly Vol. II, for how to approach late-tourny play (or any time you're too short-stacked to take a more normal line on a hand).

In short, you'll need to...

Re: Value Betting Pocket 8\'s Pre&PostFlop which turned into a Set

In short, I'd say your stacks weren't truly deep enough to "see where everyone else is at." Post-flop, if you think there's a reasonable chance the flop missed your opponent, you need to move all-in...

Re: Thoughts on 50/50c versus 25/50c

If you're capable of folding marginal hands due to your position, it's fine. Use caution and only get involved if you flop at least 2 pair on a dry board or an OESD and get the right odds, etc.

Re: Put all-in with AQsu

Very tempting because of the possible tilt on UTG's part, but I hold off here. If I'm going to risk my tourney with an M still over 5, I'd rather be the agressor, or have a high pair. It's a close...

Re: Question 43

BB's line under Option 3 (where he holds 99+ preflop) doesn't make sense, unless... that 99+ is AA, and he's too greedy to just shove pf and hope for a call. I could see him look down at rockets and...

Re: Basic math question

Re: Etiquette Question

I would suggest avoiding the word "fold", just in case. Instead maybe, "I don't think I can play these" as you look at your hand.

I was in a hand heads-up when the flop came with 3 hearts. Both...
