Re: Organizing a project to determine which sites are legit or rigged

Some tests can be done very easily.

For instance: Count all cases where a player went all-in. Of course discriminate between different stakes, number of opponents, etc. Then count what percentage...

Re: Organizing a project to determine which sites are legit or rigged

Asking how many hands we need for such a study is the wrong question. First we should ask what kind of checks we would like to do on the data. When we know that, then it can be calculated how many...

Re: Party crashing - HELP! I\'m about to go postal!!!

So I made a couple of phone calls and eventually got to speak to somebody from the technical staff.
He asked me if I had tried to reinstall Party already (yes), then asked me to add some startup...

Re: I never know how to handle these

Call the river. You will be quartered so a raise earns you nothing.

Party deletes my player notes

Recently I noticed that when I close Party Poker, all the notes that I have made about opponents are lost... Earlier they were saved in a file called 'Notes.txt'. That file is still there but there...

Re: huge pots, uncapped betting w/out the nuts vs bad players

If I would see this I would think SB was dumping chips.

Re: Party crashing - HELP! I\'m about to go postal!!!

I'm having similar problems as some people in this thread, though it doesn't seems the same as Teddy's. I'm playing limit anyway, not NL.
On my PC Party freezes sometimes when I try to open a new...

Re: fsdr with 77 on a dry board

I would call down as well and make a note of his hand. It would have been difficult now to decide what to do when he would have donked the river. When you have more notes on him this decision would...

Re: Junk in BB vs EP limper

I don't see how it could be correct to fold the flop. We are ahead well over 50% of the time.
Call the flop and donk the turn, if he's loose-passive like you're saying. When he fires back throw it...

Re: big pot 2nd pair

Checking the flop is awful. You miss a ton of value when you're ahead, which is a good part of the time. When you're behind someone else would have probably bet anyway.

I would keep betting until...

Re: God this feels weak/tight...

Something is wrong with the hand history.
It starts with 'Hero is SB .. Hero posts a blind of $2'. That is the amount of the big blind, not the small blind.
Then:
1 fold, UTG raises, 2 folds, Hero...

Re: Am I supposed to bet this?

Check-call induces a bluff. This means extra equity from some hands he would otherwise fold. Add up the bet we save when he is really ahead, and I think check-call is correct here.

Re: flop capped, turn check check

I would bet the turn. I think you are overvalueing his flop cap. As others have mentioned it could be for a free card, or just with an A because he plays bad. Also the turn card put you ahead of AJ....

Re: vs button open limper

Fold the turn. You might be ahead but probably not and the pot is too small.

Re: AK button.top pair on the flop

I like the flop and, to a lesser extent, the turn. You don't want to raise because the donks on SB and BB will call a single bet with trash, but a raise might start them thinking.

The river...

Re: I Got My Frush!

I would CR the flop for value and because it disguises your hand.

The turn I would CR as well to let Button call CO's bet.

The river I would bet. Not because I expect to be raised (although...

Re: TPBK vs habitual bluff raiser, rivers top and middle pair

Hand 2 I don't understand why you cap the flop if you want to induce him to bluff the turn or the river.

Hand 3 the only hand I can put him on that makes sense is a draw with an 8. Something like...

Re: A8s against weak tight

He wasn't thinking about folding. He was thinking about raising but your pf cap scared him off. I guess he had a J or TT.

Re: Not So Standard 2 Pair Hand

I would call the river and expect to see a single A once in a while.
Also I like it better to bet/call the flop and then CR the turn if a non-spade comes.

Re: TPJK on 3 flush board, villain Stop-n-go\'s

I would fold the river. Seems to me that villain has either a flush or a better T like 95% of the time. I don't agree that villain looks that laggy with an AF of only 1.2 over 14 hands.

Re: Does the FT shuffler screw with anyone else\'s head?

I have experienced this as well. Top pairs, 2 pairs, straights of mine were beat time after time. It cost me a hell of a lot of money. Until one day I realized that FT's shuffling mechanism was to...
