Re: Pope blames atheism for all the worlds problems.

Crusades, inquisition, Bible condoning slavery, racism, homophobia, etc.

I can't believe that in modern society this nonsense is given any respect at all.

Re: Maths problem

I left out the signs because they become +1 in the end. The (-1)^n from the -4 and the (-1)^n from the -1/2 join forces to become (-1)^2n = +1.

So there really aren't any sign errors, in that the...

Re: Tournament Poker for Advanced Players??

I agree that the majority of the book is applicable, if perhaps not as relevant, as, say, the advice in HoH. But is it not important to 2+2 to have all of the advice be correct, as opposed to 98%?...

Re: Society, Intuition and Logic

What you call intuition is what I call poorly formulated logic. Give me the well formulated version any day.

Ok, this is my last post in this thread. Sorry for making like fifty posts in a row. And sorry for not making a separate thread to explain this.

Re: Maths problem

Ok, so to hell with real work: the nth coeffcient is

4^n(1/2 choose n) = (4^n/2^n) ((1*3*5*...*2n-1)/n!)=

=2^n*((2n!)/((2n)*(2n-2)*...*(4)*(2)*n!)=(2^n/2^n)(2n!/(n!n!))=

= 2n choose n
