10NL A9s in SB vs BTN raise
This hand has bothered me since I played it last night. Don't have the actual hand since I'm at work.
10NL 6max
Hero with ~$10 stack dealt A9s in SB.
Everyone folds. BTN with ~$40 stack,...

Re: Thoughts on Running bad for UNL guys
I think this "subject" needs to be clarified.
1. How many tables are we talking?
2. Should 10+ BI downswing "not possible" be replaced with "possibly avoidable or minimized"?
[edit]I think...

Don't worry about the fact that he didn't have anything. It doesn't matter. Its all about value. You won $2 at a 10NL table with a pair of 5s. Pretty good results.

Re: When to 3-bet and when to just call???
In all of these hands I'm assuming its just you and the villain so far.
1. RR
2. call and dump if his range hits the flop w/o a draw 4u
3. call and dump if you don't hit a draw
4. i might fold...

The way to beat a maniac is by waiting for good hands to go AI with. If he catches on and won't play with you then try turning over a junk hand for a small pot (what I call an investment) and then...

Re: 25NL - TPGK vs. weird turn line
I shoved figuring he wouldn't check call twice in a row with TPGK or top two two streets in a row. So I figured it was either a whiffed draw or some kind of Ace that I stood a good chance of beating....

Re: 25NL : AA deep V big aggro fish.
Looks like you're beat by trips or QT. Both are in his calling range PF. I'm probably not going AI for almost 2BBs with just TP.
[edit]2 BI rather.

25NL - TPGK vs. weird turn line
Notice his stack size. Nothing else to note about him. I was VPIP of 23-26 or so and was probably perceived as a tricky or thinking player as I had put a move on the table a couple times and stacked...

Re: NL25: Flopped set on rapidly deteriorating board
You gave away free cards. You have to try to end it if you hit. He could have AA, KK, QQ, AK and maybe even AQs if your table is loose and on the flop you are ahead of all of those. I'm leading the...

Re: 25NL - A8o on KK8 flop HU
My thinking was that I'm ahead on the flop. By checking the turn I'd allow another free card and if any over hit I would be forced to fold. I also would lose the opportunity to bluff the flush. No?
