Re: AKovsButton

You get raised by good players on the turn here all the time. Either they should raise or fold, possibly call down with a decent ace.

With AK one's in a bad spot responding to a frequent raise...

Re: JTs isolation gone bad

I can't overcall against 2 villains in this spot, with one showing strength since the flop. Also I think a flop raise accomplishes nothing with mid. pair, med. kicker against the bettor and a caller...

Re: Daliman\'s NFL Wong teasers, Season Deux: Week 2

Limits on teasers are lower than limits on straight sides in NFL, I reckon.

Re: Rickjs handicapping picks week of 9/3

I thought this had stopped. You may look a few weeks back in the blog when this was announced. Maybe it's been changed again, dunno.

Re: Good hand, but check/call this river?

NH IMO. Nothing to be done differently here, or I have some serious misunderstanding of how to play this game.

Re: Wong Teasers!

At what point in time are lines considered to be useful for "Wong'ing"? I would imagine that lines as close to game time as possible would be correct use. Of course that doesn't include games where...

Re: Champions League Quals

Yeah, Rangers. Took them to advance -150 Bodog ($300 max.) which is better value than betting this single game IMHO. Don't like it at all.

A good option is Lazio [-1.0] +100 against Dinamo...

Re: First Betfair soccer bet, was this smart?

It depends. There's no general answer to this question. Basically you bet Derby to score first. Had you hedged the Derby bet before kick-off for those (0.30/0.40 divided by 3.1 or 3.0) it...

Re: Soccer - Correct Score > Winner?

Actually correct score is 44,2% to my calculations and we're basically throwing 1-0 (12,5%) out of the window as a bet that only returns stakes as it will always be the most likely result in games...

Re: English Premier League picks

[ QUOTE ]
We're mainly betting lower leagues but I will be posting EPL unless there's an interest elsewhere.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd be all for lower leagues and less EPL. Strange?

Re: Soccer - Correct Score > Winner?

Well, 1-0 and 2-1 are the most common scores in a win/loss situation. The margin of victory can't really be applied to this problem as 3-2 and all unquoted (5-4) are also being accounted for whereas...

Re: Whadya think of this?

Every street besides river is bad and Hero shouldn't have been there under any circumstances. That's fairly easy to see.

Re: So he caps me...

You're basically playing for the limper's dead money equity in this pot and calling down seems most reasonable way as in a WA/WB situation. Like Oink said, J's or T's are awful on the river, but you...

Re: AQo flop flush!

b) a better hand will never fold, AxYh will go crazy on us
c) a decent heart...

Re: Copa America US at Argentina

I'd still take Messi on my team one slot above Tevez any time... obviously he is no mug, but Argentina's team composure is very much different and therefore deserves a second look.

Hmm, I don't...
