Re: Quick theory question about 5/10 rule
I'd really like to some math on this myself. I love sets and I hate folding PP's /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I usually raise pot preflop, but with 100 BB stacks, it might be smarter to raise 3 x...

Re: I 4bet Woooo! oh you called
AK or JJ-QQ I guess, I don't see a guy who 3 bets kinda light checking AA or KK here.
Without reads I would check, I would perhaps dare a bet if a quick check by him on turn might smell like AK I...

How to play a pocket pair from the BB?
A decent TAG raises to $35 in late position in a short-handed $5/$10 game.
I call in the BB with 66, the flop comes A74 rainbow. Is my best play to lead out, to check/fold or to check/raise?
Or...

Re: Theory: Implied odds, how many can you call with medium pair?
As far as I know there is no 10% rule. The rule I have heard is the 5/10 rule.
If the raise is for less than 5% of your stack it is always a clear call and if the raise is for more than 10% it is...

Re: How do I combat light re-raises?
Okies, so say I am facing a lightly re-raising villain and I pick up AQo and make it $35 in the cut-off in a $5/$10 game.
If villain pops it to $120, it seems like a high variance break even...

How do I combat light re-raises?
How do I exploit a player who re-raises lightly?
Say he is a decent aggressive opponent, whom I've seen re-raise me in position with 66 and Axs.

Vegas Hotels w/Internet Connection
I am planning a trip to Las Vegas for WSOP. My idea is to arrive on June 1st and stay for an undetermined time. I'll probably be there 2 weeks, but I might stay longer.
Do Las Vegas Hotels have a...
