Re: ***** November LC Thread *****

Limping is different in tournaments for a couple reasons:
1. BB don't raise limps as often as they do online
2. stack sizes are smaller so keeping pots smaller pf makes for more manueverability...

Re: TT, lets doge a bullet. sng

3bet size is bad. Calling, 3betting less, or 3betting way more are all better options. There's not much difference in b/f 400 or c/f. i probably just c/f.

Re: 11 NLTRN - First two hands, fairly simple.

Bet less on the turn on hand one. If he's raising a Q on the flop then you're not getting called on the turn.

Don't raise the turn or river after just calling the flop in hand one. I can see...

Re: 50NL-rivered set

If you're raising theres no way you can fold to push. Your hand is much too strong to just call. Easy b/c

Re: grrrrr... A6 in the sb??? high blinds

Well A6 isn't very good, so you're not magically going to get a ton of value. If he's that stationy just go all in.

Im still trying to figure out why people adhere to the same strategies...

Re: 200NLHUCASH king high flush paired board river

Seems pretty standard to me. River is not a push even though villian could easily have trips.

Re: river c/r. is it a bluff

I don't know why your hand is good enough to bet the river but not the turn.

The size of his raise looks a little fishy- he's either got a biggen or a nothing. I think it's a fold though and it's...

Re: NLTRN $11: facing donkbet on A-high flop with KK

Don't raise so much preflop. There's a reason it's correct to raise more pf when deeper stacked- shorter stacked you want to give yourself room to maneuver.

Min raising to lose the minimum and to...

Re: I can\'t seem to beat the $5 or $6

What Indy said. Wtf, poker isn't about playing exact cards. Ask yourself why you are cbetting such a wide range. Ask yourself about better strategies than just playing the same hands the same way...

Re: How many Buyins is your HU SNG bankroll?

Anyone who plays with 10bi at any level is an idiot. If you're smart enough to beat the game w/ a good WR then you should also be smart enough to know decent bankroll management.

Re: what to read for hu nl (not sng)

Lol, posting in this forum will not make you a nlshark. IMO 90%+ of the strat posts are read and player dependent. Heads up is best learned by experience.

Re: 100nl... QQ hu, oop, and deep... SIGH

What makes flop standard? Depending on the level of thinking, checking, betting less or betting more on the flop can all be standard- either with this hand or your entire range.
