Re: 3/6 LO8 turn spot

Its 6-max, I couldn't fathom folding in this situation, especially at a 3/6 table where my opponents are just terrible. If either of these idiots has A28x, so be it.

Re: Poker Tracker Stats

PT stats are a terrible way to pick winners or losers. There are winning players over 1000's of hands who play 50/25, losers who play nearly the same VP$P & PFR. If you are a quality 6-max player,...

Re: high hands: how do you play them?

[ QUOTE ]
I've been beating 0.25/0.50, 0.50/1, and 1/2 O8 full ring for about 3.1 BB/100 over about 5500 hands, but looking at PTO I see what seems to be a glaring leak. In my category of hands...

Ok fair enough. But on like a TT4 board, what info do you need? You're either way ahead or way behind. Betting the flop will get raised or called by a better hand while checking induces...

Re: ehlp!

Just take it in stride. Omaha-8 is a drawing game. Expect to draw and miss a lot.

i need at least 3 michelob lights to call that preflop baby.

you are missing a lot not playing this hand, especially in a 6-max game. i'd say you are lacking...

ehlp!

8/16 6-max game: pretty standard 6-max O8 game, mostly poor players, the typical LAG is missing right now, so the game is a bit more passive than usual.

I'm UTG and get dealt:

Re: too carefull?

I would 3-bet the turn. I don't think I'd fold here just about ever.

Re: First Post Here Ever - Call this all-in?

If yer a newb, don't play tough hands! I would not play this hand in your spot. Maybe in a 6-max game if it were double suited and my opponents were LPs. As a new player, you are gonna get killed...

Re: LO8 Bad river card. Still value bet?

If you can trust you opponent is not very good, not very tricky, and not very aggro, I would bet/fold the river. Otherwise, I would bet/call.

Re: find a fold?

I think everything but preflop is debateable. I think a lot of times your flop call is incorrect, but w/o a read on the opponents I would peel here as well.

Re: Shorthanded O8 - Adjusting to maniacs or I play terrible

SH O8 is my specialty - however I play 5/10-30/60.

SH O8 is a real beast of a game. The players I find to crush the fish the most are the thinking, super aggro LAGs, players which tend to be tough...

Re: Did I play this okay? 15/30

I 3-bang this all day long preflop and build a big pot. I don't like the flop 3-bet and would have called down after the flop raise unless I hit my flush in which case I would lead out again. The bad...

Re: sort of gross spot on the river

this is a pretty simple b/c for me. I think you miss way too much value when you check and it checks through, than the few times you get raised, put in an extra bet, and lose to a better high. too...

Re: PLO8 what do you do with a mid open-ended straight flush draw?

This looks like a trouble hand to me. So easily dominated in both ways where you are drawing to 2 outs to get only half the pot anyways. I think I would play it safe here and wait for a better spot.

Re: 5/10 Limit - Live

remember your O8 rule of thumb, especially in a low-limit, live game: if you aren't drawing to the nuts, get out. I wouldn't donate a bet to this pot, I'd check and hope it checked out so I could hit...

Re: 10-20 Kill hand from Wynn

I played at this very game a few weeks back. I don't think this is an easy fold, but if you can put your opponents on some ranges, you can make this a fold or a call. I'd lean towards folding here...

Re: 6/12 LO8 live - good check raise on flop? fold turn?

insta-muck. you got nothing but trouble out of this hand and lots and lots of lost money down the road (starting on the turn).
