Re: I has a set. No wait I meant AK.

are you going to be making this value shove when you have AK? does villain know that you are capable of that?

Most one pair type hands will either block bet or c/call on this river so you're psb...

Re: deep vs a donk. thin river value push.

i like it less if villain is checking 2pair/sets on this river to you.

a lot of players will do some sort of blocker bets with those hands so I dont know.

i guess it just comes down to how big...

Re: $400 hu TT on paired board for stacks

thanks for the explaination, snowbank.

I was discussing this hand with pr0crast earlier tonight and we were trying to figure out your thought process. I like your reasoning, especially because you...

Re: $400 hu TT on paired board for stacks

snowbank,

can you explain your line here? I respect your play so I'm trying to see the value in pushing this instead of c/calling.

right now to me it seems spewy. But I'm open to new...

Re: Overpair in 3b pot is this marginal enough to fold?

that board is too drawy to fold to the push, i think.

Re: turn play with bottom set on a horrible board

villain has KK almost never. what 'solid' player is calling a flop bet with an OP on that board against 2 players? His range is pretty much left to QQ/99/ KQ/ maybe TJ. 99 and QQ are less likely...

Re: 200NL 6max How much did I [censored] this up?

I think if you are going to c/c AI on the turn you migth as well push because you have SOME fold equity against TT and JJ.

Also- you should define "toolbag". If he a complete maniac than i guess...

Re: 25 nl- top two facing river AI

jld-

this is probably going to sound condescending, but I don't mean it that way.

you are new here and there are certain ways you do and don't go about posting hands and the way i posted mine...

Re: 25 nl- top two facing river AI

bluffbetter,

i think villain's range is something like 44/JJ/QJ/A10/KJ/KQ/air.

but still, A 10 seems pretty unlikely and he might have 9 10 too.

I river is probably a call vs an unknown.

Re: 25 nl- top two facing river AI

"Sb pushes for 6 more..." I assumed you guys could add (not to sound rude).

I checked turn because being c/red sucks balls- also because not as many worse hands call and to induce a bluff yada...

25 nl- top two facing river AI

just sat down so no reads.
every street is debatable, i think. pf call is meh, but w/e.
thoughts on river raise?

BTN limps, sb raises to .85, hero calls in BB with KQ of hearts.

QJ4 (one...

Re: 2-4 NL, AA

yeah i think calling with the intention of "reevaluating" the turn is really just c/f the turn.

calling and b/fing the turn is a viable option, i think.

Re: overpair on the turn - Baluga? Or am I ahead too often here?

I think the fold is my standard play here against a known nit.

btw, what is the baluga theorem?

Re: Lost somewhere between Valuetown and Nitville???

ok- i was initally kind of joking about the 3bet minraise. but this is probably one of hte best situations for it. stack sizes are really gross here. any other raise commits us to either calling UTG...

50 nl- QQ facing 3bet pf

assume no reads.

MP raises to 1.5, CO calls, BTN calls, sb raises to 5.5
you have QQ in BB.
sb has about 29 after the 3bet. MP has about 18, CO has about the same, and assume BTN has 50.

how...

Re: 50 NL- turned NFD in RR pot

robert- obv if we get called a high % of the time, this play is pretty terrible.

but I would like to hear discussion on villain's range. A turn pot size bet (or shove) looks very strong and the...

Re: 50 NL- turned NFD in RR pot

with stack sizes- any play is awkward, i think.

if we both had 70+ i would probably c/r AI and feel pretty comfortable about it.

does anyone else feel like c/f is just too weak?

50 NL- turned NFD in RR pot

villain hasn't been that out of hand. standard pf raises and standard cbets. that sort of thing.

fish limps. villain raises to 2.5 from BTN, Hero (BB) raises to 7.5 with AQ of spades. fish folds,...

A lot of people are putting the nit on an underpair on the turn and I don't buy it. Why would he suddenly get aggressive when the king comes out? I would expect a nit to get scared when...
