Re: AQ utg with an M of 8 - Stars $150

You don't have to make any real decisions in the hand. You have to raise preflop. You're going to bet that flop and call an allin. No other way to play it.

Re: is it ever correct to fold here?

no. When it was up to you preflop, you were getting about 3.5-1. The most you could realistically be was a 4-1 dog. Don't try to be a hero.

Re: WSOPC $5K KK facing 4-bet (reality check)

You can get live reads, make judgements etc. But saying that he hasn't 4 bet when you're in the 3rd level of the tournament is absurd.

Re: Another big Step 6 hand

Its essentially winner take all. $1500 to both second and third which everyone has earned. First prize is $12k.

Another big Step 6 hand

We are down to 3 handed. Other big stack was very agressive in restealing in the middle of the tournament. Has been pretty agressive in blind versus blind, but hasnt raised from the button a ton...

PCA step 6 hand

We just got heads up 1 hand ago. I have 17k and villian has 8k. Villian has played very passively up until this point and has folded the first hand HU. He has showed down a few big hands and has...

Re: NL400 77 Full house how to extract most (deep)

think about villians most likely hands. what happens when you bet the turn with some, and bet the turn with others? Weight the range and the outcomes against that range. Makes the decisions very...

Re: appearance of \"elite\" players at final table

because for a while, the tournament was 15 players. The odds that five of them make it to the final table are pretty good.

Re: weird situation. is there any ethics consideration here?

I would stack him off and not feel bad about it. It would be one thing if you induced him to show you his hand in some way, but not only did he raise your blind, but he showed you without asking. ...

Re: Step 4: Whats your shoving range?

I'm having similar troubles with decent stacks, low blinds and the flat payout. It seems like raising all is overdoing it, but if you raise, anyone can shove and you cant really call. In fact, I am...

PokerStars Steps----Theory

I have been playing a lot of the Step tournaments lately. When I get down to 3 or 4 players in the higher steps(4 and 5), I am unsure about how to proceed. The blinds are usually at 100/200 or...

Step 5 hand

Step 5 on pokerstars. Buying is 700. Down to 3 handed. Top two move on and 3rd repeats

SB had been playing back at me agressively to both of our detriments earlier, but has calmed down as we get...

Re: AA no good?

I agree with your reads and analysis of gregosu. He likes to be aggro with his good hands, regardless of the action. The problem I see is that if we are ahead of him, we are not superlikely to get...

i saw her in vegas and in ac and she was hemorrhaging money all the way home. She pays so poorly, noone pays her off, despite the show.

Re: 400NL weird spot

I was leaning towards folding, but the only hands I can really give him are a weirdly played AJ/KJ with a heart. I suppose he could have the nut flush too, but its still a weird play...

200---Donk minraise

Villian is 62/18/3 and donkish. We have been dueling a bit, but not crazy. He has $195 and I cover

I raise KQo UTG+1 and villian calls in the SB along with the BB.

Flop comes K65. I bet $16...

Bad limper. Villian makes it 16 and I call with 55. Limper folds.

Flop comes QT8 and 2 hearts. Villian quickly checks and I bet $32 into the...

200NL-6Max---Ok bluff?

I have $480 and Villian has $450. He is pretty loose and aggro(~30/~20) through a decent sample.

I button raise to $8 with AJs and he defends in the BB.

Flop is T22r. I bet $13, he c/r to 30....

200NL-6Max ---AA in trouble?

Villian1 has $160, villian2 has $100 and I cover. Both are loose(not sure of VPIP), but have limped and then called several times already.

Villian1 raises to $4 UTG, Villian2 calls on the button...

Re: Is This Spot Difficult?

His most likely hand is AT8 or A85 that peeled the flop with top pair because he plays 70% of the hands and calls most flops with anything. His VPIP is 70%, there is no way you should give him the...

Re: 200NL-6max---KQ makes top pair

Does his turn bet look too much like a milk bet? Should I just fold preflop?
