Re: 50NL AQs vs aggressive blind thief
[ QUOTE ]
Isn't check-calling the turn for almost half your stack terrible terrible advice?

He's getting odds to continue, and a turn bet or a check/push isn't going to fold out...

Re: 50NL AQs vs aggressive blind thief
I don't think there's enough folding equity in pushing the turn, there's just not enough money left to fold out anything but a complete bluff.
Villain probably has a small overpair (something...

Re: turn issues with QQ.
Looks OK to me. If BB was deeper, we could think about a fold, but once we correctly bet the turn, we're committed to the hand.

Re: Screwed up pocket 10s
With so much money going in preflop, I'm happy to commit to that flop. Given that UTG is a maniac, crai is my line of choice on the flop.

Re: bad reraise-call on PF with JTo?
Fold to the reraise. BB's stack is not large enough to play a hand like JTo to a reraise. If you were both 500 BBs deep, then an in-position call becomes defensible.

Re: 25NL - Annoying JJ hand line check.
This seems OK to me. You have a hand with some showdown value, and you managed to get to the end for cheap. If button is betting bigger, I'm folding, but these small bets are OK to call.

Re: Are my aces good here?
The decision point has to be on the flop - I'm either pushing or folding to his raise right there. I'm pushing against almost all opponents here, but this guy is just so passive that I might...

Re: QQ flops set vs. shortstack.
I'd rather get all the money in on the turn in case he picked up a diamond draw. If he has something like A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, he may not pay off on a blank...

Re: QQ flops set vs. shortstack.
Raise more PF - your opponent has an ideal stack size to play this hand. Raising to $1 will make it easier to get all the money in after the flop.
As played, c/rai on the turn. BB's range is more...

Re: TPTK + NFD - Turn value push?
It's very hard to c/rai when you're last to act.
Anyway, I think it's fine. You probably have the best hand, and if not, you have outs.

Re: 10nl 6max: second pair help
Hand 1: Fold preflop, KJo is not a hand to be playing against a raiser. Fold the river - about the only thing you are beating here is a whiffed club draw without the Ac.
Hand 2: I would prefer a...

Re: $50NL TPGK faces short stack all-in
Without a read, I fold. A good part of villain's range after the flop was Ahxh, which is now beating you.
If the villain was a habitual floater or semi-bluffer, it probably becomes a call. The...

Re: 25NL turned trips
I'm having a hard time finding a range where we'd be good often enough to call. He hasn't played the hand like he has a Jack, and I doubt this is a bluff with a missed spade draw. I think he...

Re: ATo, standard?
Extremely standard. You need a strong read on your opponent that he'll c/r a cbet on air before playing back at him. Even then, I probably wouldn't do at this level. There are much easier ways to...

Re: Hmmm....Valuetown or Cautious City
Folding is out of the question, not when we're getting 4:1 with a straight and a villain who played the hand passively up to now.
If we push, the only thing that might call that we beat is a...
