Fold the river. I probably would have folded the turn, looks like a flush to me.

Re: how to convince potential players of a fundamental rule?

If they don't understand odds, etc, just make sure you fully understand their rules, and beat them in that context. shouldn't be too hard.

Re: Proposed Home Game Fees

Keep in mind that in most places, the minute you start taking rake/charging fees to play above and beyond table stakes, the game becomes illegal. In a college town, the word of this "card room" will...

Re: Poker Cards

I recently had the same issue and bought 3 types of cards, all Jumbo index. Prices include shipping.

KEM - about $25 for 2 decks
COPAG - about $15 for 2 decks
MODIANO - about $10 for 2 decks

Re: Is this rake fair? (5%, max 7,50)

I' say the 5% is fair, but the $10 max is extreme. I'd say a $6-7 max. He shouldn't be making $250 a night just to host a .50/.50 NL game

Re: Probability question

Thanks guys! Very, very helpful. Basically, telling me that the odds are about 1% or less is what I am looking for.

Probability question

I am admittedly bad at probabilities, stats, etc.

Here is the question:

In a 12 team fantasy football league, where the draft order is determined at random each season, what are the chances...

Re: keeping losing players happy

I owuld agree that bringing beers, or ordering pizza will do the trick. If you are winning $100-200 in the game, and have to shell out $25-30 to keep folks happy, then that's worth it.

Re: 25NL - Straight Flush Draw/OESD

I would also throw a bet out there of about $5 and see what happens. It would be tough to call a big raise though.

Re: 25NL - Top Pair no good here?

Stack size is also less of a consideration for you in a cash game, you can rebuy. He could have the made flush, or AK/AJ w/ the K/Js, or as mentioned above a decent pair (TT to QQ, I would think he...

Build your own. My buddy and I built a perfectly good table for $200 in a single day (no track). Casinosupply.com has the felt, rail material, etc.

Re: How About This For A Mixed Game??? LOL....HELP NEEDED!!!!

Playing no limit 5 card draw w/ wilds is just stupid, IMO, so I would sit those hands out.

Find a book or website that will give you some good Omaha and Stud starting hands to get more ideas.

Re: How would you handle this?

Personally, in the game I host, saying "you got it" forfeits your right to the pot.

Re: OESD on turn - multiway pot

I would have bet the flop, looking for info. You bet .30 on that flop, you'll find out where you are.

Re: NL20, TPTK in blind battle faces resistance

I'm htinking he tried to RR you on a flush draw b/c he thought you were just throwing out a c-bet. Personally, I would have raised him on the turn. The only thing I am worried about here is a set.

Re: Home Cash Game (chip set-up) Results

I agree the size of the blinds was not important here. 13-15 $20ish rebuys in 4 hours? Can I get in that game?
